Speed Dating

Ever try it? I got a wild hair up my ass and signed up for a meeting on the 28th of March. Now I'm wondering what the hell I got myself into! I thought I'd get one of my friends to do it with me and she refused! I have a feeling I'll back out at the last minute, but I just have this huge itch to do something different and meet different people.
So, that's what's new with me...not much else!

To me this sounds like a really awesome approach. Because you get to meet a whole range of people but you don't have to waste a whole lot of time or momey to do it. And it's that initial meeting of people you are attracted to that is really so elusive and hard to find for most folks.

But with speed dating they take an equal numner of males and females and then give them a short period of private time to spend together. And then in musical chairs fashion at some point everyone switches for another short one on one session. This continues through the evening until all m's and f's have spent some "get to know ya" time together. Then they all fill out a form telling who they relly liked and whoever organized the deal lets them all know their mutual matches.

They only reconnect with people who also liked each other so right off the bat from a speed dating session you'll have met and will have the contact info for at least a few people you share an interest with.

Those is way better dating odds than anything I've ever heard of.

I've never done it though but there's a decent chance that I will at some point.

I just wonder though if there are some people who do a speed dating session who nobody at all wishes to connect back up with.

That would be like being Charlie Brown when he only got given rocks when he went Trick or Treating.
