Curiosity

I will probably be blogging off and on all day today because I'm bored and was supposed to meet someone but he has since cancelled. (But not until I asked him what we were going to do today!) I had my doubts about him to begin with. He seems like the tease type. So...that leaves me with not alot to do today, so I'm going to try to increase my popularity in Blogland. I'm #9 in Oklahoma, thanks to my post about the water faucet. Who knew it would get so many views? But what really counts is the comments, I guess. How do you get people to comment on your blog? I try to write something interesting to elicit responses, but it just doesn't seem to work for me. And does commenting on your own blog count for you???

Commenting on your own blog does count, ma'am ... but it is strictly Not Done .. in fact, it's so frowned upon that there's a group pressing to remove own comments from the count.

You've just found one way to increase your comment count, though: ask a question, provoke the responses!

Another is to go reading other people's blogs so you get noticed on the who-visited list ... even better, leave a comment yourself. If you're concerned about the competition from Oklahoma, just make sure you don't comment on the blogs from your state-fellows
