Gathering Signatures

One of my political cronies that helped talk me into running for City Council came by and picked me up this morning to go out and collect signatures. You really only need twenty but you are supposed to get thirty in case any of the others are disqualified.

He is an ex-Councilman who is also running again in this election. There are two seats open and I was the tenth person to take out papers to run. That doesn't mean all of them will turn in their signatures.

My friend comes from a large family and has all kinds of Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, and a Sister that all signed our petitions.
The last stop was at an older gentleman's place who is a friend of his and happens to be gay.

They both like scotch and next thing you know I was having shots of tequila and we were sitting around talking about the old days and getting kicked out of the army and other stupid stuff. There's nothing quite like sitting and listening to two old gay guys flickin shit at each other. I was crackin the hell up.

Collecting signatures to run for City Council is undoubtedly NOT supposed to be that much fun. I'm a total light weight these days so by the time I got home I was shit faced. Damn, starting to feel like a politician already!!

Now we got to see if I got the balls and/or foolishness to turn the signatures in tomorrow. At least now I have a sexy Canadian campaign manager and a gay friend that doubles as my opponent. I feel a book in the making....... Stay tuned!

Ok, ok, as your campaign manager, all I can say is....where the hell was I??!!! LOL.

I used to have a lighting director who had scotch tasting parties at his cabin. It was wunnerful. He had this selection that he'd purchased, with a guide book. One of the selections was literally described as "more of a cleaning fluid than an inebriate". Ya GOTTA love THAT!!!

And yeah...they were definitely right...lol.

Sounds like our campaign is off to a roaring start!!

You know, in the "REAL" world with a zero budget so far, and the only Democrat in a field of nine candidates, my actual campaign is going to be about as different as it already is here in cyber world. This going to be a question of which is stranger, truth of fiction?

Let the PARTY begin!
