Rude People

Ok, so maybe I'm a bit cynical. Maybe I'm a bit sensitive.

What is it with people who don't respond to emails?

I'm checking out who's online. I find someone of interest, check their "Looking for" and "Mutual Match" to make sure I fit what their interests are (and that they fit mine). If all is good, I'll drop them an email.

Then I wait...
And wait...
And wait...

And nothing.

Not even a courtesy reply of "No Thanks". (Made even easier with the "Quick Reply" )

I mean, c'mon, I'm a nice guy. I'm not rude or even lewd and crude in my intro emails (well, there are a few that the profile warrants it). And I always include my pic and profile.

So, what's the deal?

Ok, so I understand that there are some real creeps out there. But are there really so many that honest inquiries are just completely ignored?

Is it possible that everybody but me is so popular that they get hundreds of emails and find it impossible to answer "No thanks" to those that don't interest them?

Come on, people, don't be rude to someone who thought enough of you to send you an email. If they don't flick your Bic, send them a quick "No thanks".

There are literally DOZENS of blogs, and advice posts, on the same topic. Speaking for myself, as a standard member I'm limited in what I can reply to, and tend not to use up those replies on someone who doesn't match my interests. I also tend to get mails from guys who, if they would just read my profile (and my blog, TO WHICH MY PROFILE DIRECTS THEM) they would know that we're not a match. I just don't have that kind of time to waste.

That said.. some people are busy and don't check their mail all of the time. Oftentimes, I get a message from someone saying that they see I am online, but when I look at when the message was sent, not only was I not logged in, but MY COMPUTER WASN'T EVEN ON AT THE TIME.

And then of course, some people are just plain rude.

Hope that helps some.

Not really wanting to get into a debate on the matter (It was just a general gripe).

But two things:
1. The fact that there are dozens of blogs on this same subject should be an alert that it is an issue that needs to be raised.
2. I have the "Standard Contracts" feature, so any Standard member can email me without eating into their email limits.

This second point does present a question (that I have just now posted to AdultFriendFinder staff). There is no indicator that is put on my profile that shows that I have the "Standard Contracts" feature so Standard members don't know that they can initiate contact with me or that replying to emails won't go against their limits. Because AdultFriendFinder doesn't put an indication, I wonder if it's allowed and/or recommended that I add it to my profile. If not, then it's a pretty much useless feature unless someone accidentally stubles across it, don't you think?

You know Clif we do have rude people on this Net I agree and ones that are not honest. I have met a few of them. I myself once people look at my picture they go to another without even saying hi and giving me a chance. My picture makes me look bigger than i am and that is why i don't like putting any pictures of me up. Clif I have dated older adn i dated younger but age is what is inside of a person so please people who are older give us younger ones a chance and you might find out you will like us.
