The gods are trying to kill me!

For the second time in my life, I suffered food poisoning. After eating dinner Friday night at work I went home to get ready for a fun filled night. Unfortunately my stomach disagreed with me. Instead of getting ready to go out I spent the evening (and all of Saturday morning) either sitting on the bathroom floor in front of the porcelain god or on the couch (why is it when we're sick we always prefer the couch? Philosophy for another day.) praying for the heaving to end. Every hour I would wake up and have to run to the bathroom knowing full well that there wasn't anything left and all I would do was dry-heave. I heaved so hard that my eyes watered, my nose ran, and my body sweat. Finally, at 7:30 on Saturday I stopped and finally fell asleep.

Saturday of course was ruined b/c I had absolutely no energy and no voice. My chest burned (and still burns) due to the acid and my stomach felt like it had been worked over by Muhammad Ali. I had no desire to eat and so Saturday night was spent on the couch. Sidenote:- Sahara is an O.K. movie.

Sunday was a little better. I actually had breakfast and spent the day cleaning. Hey, at least I was mobile. That night I went to the movies and saw "The Brothers Grimm." Good flick in my opinion- definitely different. But you have to understand Terry Gillian as a director. It's like watching a movie your friend made and giving it a different critique because you know what he was thinking and how he is. That sort of thing.

Anyway, I had to let everyone know that the Chin (I'm speaking in third person- that's so cool) is O.K. No need to send flowers or anything. My chest is still sore (feels like I have bronchitis) but I do have my appetite back to a certain extent. I just don't know how long it'll be before I eat potato salad and chicken breast again. The sad thing is, work provided the meal! I'm curious to see how many others got sick this weekend. I'll be sure to keep you guys posted. Now, it's off to the shower....

here are a few flowers to keep you company even though they are a couple of days late. I'm glad that you are feeling better. Next time the company provides the meal, steer clear of anything that comes with mayo. Keep smiling Chin! By the way, I've missed you, on my blogs sweetie, stop by sometime and say hello.
