The things we do for our children

For those of you who don`t live in Germany this is the Fasching season. Today is the highlight in our town. The children go to Kindergarten & school in fancy dress costumes. Then at 2.11pm there is the parade through the town. At about 1.30pm my kids announced that mummy had to do something too. ( i was secretly hoping not to have to repeat last years last minute grab for something to make me look in the party mood).
I had failed again........so quick rummage in the cupboard to find the pink fairy wings. I attached them to my jacket with a sparkly brooch.
I then tied some fo my hair up with pink sparkly hairbands, glittery earrings.....then glittery make up completed the look.
The boys thought i looked gorgeous......that was enough for me. I didn`t care if i looked like an idiot i had made them happy. So off went pink glittery mummy to the parade , with Batman & a cowboy.

Way to go Celtic!! A happy child is worth any effort in my book. I've often gotten some weird looks and comments from my Best Friend when around her children (the Angel in particular) . But I love to see them happy and can't get enough of the laughter...especially knowing I caused it. So as Chris said...Well Done!!

** Don't suppose there are any pics floating around of this pink, glittery mummy? **

Swede,
i have to say the glittery pink make up was hard to get rid of. It seemed to stick to anything i got close to. If Cannon take the pics, you`ll get to see the wings...lol

Wouldn't it be possible to have that look every day, when it comes to make the boys happy ?
Wonder how you would look like as if you were an old 80's punk lady with the glimsy make up and purple hair.
