Beating the Market

In an article dated Feb 7, 2006, The New Zealand Herald reports on research at Stanford University by Professor Brian Knutson that measured the brains of student volunteers using magnetic resonance imaging.

“Deep inside each subject's head, electrical currents danced through a bundle of neurons about the size and shape of a peanut. Blood was rushing to the brain's pleasure centre as students executed mock stock-and-bond trades. On Knutson's screen, this region of the brain, the core of human desire, flashed canary yellow.

Knutson, 38, concluded that the pleasure of orgasm, the high from cocaine, the rush of buying Google at US$450 a share - the same neural network governs all three.”

Now we know.

Think of what this research offers to the millions of horny guys that can’t get lucky when they need it. Finally, science has found an answer for sex deprivation. And what’s more, you can be short and still be a winner! It just keeps getting better and better.

Liberals take note. No wonder the conservative right seems to be so eager to repress human sexuality. Who needs it? They’ve got blue chips to get them off!

Whenever the DOW rises, thrusting into new highs, oh baby … yes! What a rush.

And bless the student volunteers who formed the orgasmic control group. Think of the brave young male and female 20-something students for a minute … picture it … lying there, strapped to a cold table as stimulation is applied to achieve orgasm …

Honey, do we own any GE?

unlistedone, science, amazing, aint it?

milkit7, excellent point. Tough job, attaching them to "just" the right spots ... whew. Think we're going to have to buy something.

Thanks so much for stopping by. Please stop by again soon. We're big fans of your blog. But, on topic, I wonder how chocolate would have fared in the test?
