If It Weren't For Bad Luck

I think I need a few rabbit's feet & lots of 4 leaf clovers for good luck, maybe it would chase my bad luck away.

I can't believe my youngest son wrecked my car on Friday. He wasn't hurt, thank god! And it wasn't his fault, since the guy ran the stop sign. My car isn't drivable though, the front end is pretty smashed up. I have a lot of history with my car, all of it bad. This is the 4th time it's been towed home. I think it's past time to bury the keys for this car.

I'm wondering what to do about this accident. I know it says to report it to my insurance company. I don't want my insurance to go up from this, as the other guy was at fault, but he doesn't have any insurance & my son is on my insurance. If I file a claim, they total out my car, give me a little bit of money, but raise my insurance rate sky high. What would you do?

kiss

since it was not his fault, the other guys insurance should be covering it. you do need to report it to get a police report though.

Tow it to a dealer that's giving that $3000. trade on anything, buy another and DON'T give the keys to your son

You can go back and try and sue the person without the insurance. Again that may cost you more than what the car was worth. Good Luck on your hunt for a new car. Yeah I'd like to be invited to the next chili party also. I love chili.

I have a feeling your insurance company might just tell you you have to drop your son from your policy

Hi Darlin..being that he was not at fault, you should put in a claim. I'm sure you pay a higher premium because of his age (hell I always did) but ya can't just look the other way and take the hit.
