Shape and Form

Why is it that society today views the skinny, rail-thin woman as ideal?(See mary Kate, Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton) I'm sorry! Seeing a womans ribs, collarbone or bony ass elbows does nothing for me! It almost makes me physically ill. there is thin and then there is too thin. Most of the women put in front of us by the National media fall into the too thin category. When questioned on this, they reply-'I have always been this way, I do it with diet and exercise, and I eat healthy. I am here to tell you....BULLSHIT! No nutritionist in their right mind would give them that endorsement. So...on of the biggest eating days of the message to them.....EAT UP LADIES! And please don't go puke it all out when you finish! There are plenty of people in the US and world for that matter that are far worse off than and would give their right arm what you puke up every day!

What society portrays as beautiful can often cause a lot of emotional scarring for young women today. We've been raised to think rail thin and boney is beautiful and as a result more and more girls are being diagnosed with eating disorders. The world in general gets wrapped up in what the stereotypical image of a female that we view anyone who skews from that image as something not so attractive.

Speaking as a woman who isn't the hollywood ideal body shape I can tell you its very difficult to be comfortable with yourself and your body when browsing through magazines. I see how differently bigger people are treated and I know how much it hurts.

Its nice to know there are people out there who don't find the Lindsay Lohan/Paris Hilton figure the be all and end oll of beauty.
