To Date Or Not To Date?

I haven't been on a date in about two years. I've heard people say such, but I never really thought it possible. I mean, I've been celibate for 3 years twice and for a couple of years a few times. Hell, I'm dang near up to a couple of years now. *LOL* At any rate, I still went out on dates. I just came home afterwards. This time, I haven't even dated. Could be 'cuz the last time a guy took me out I kicked his behind on the pool table, really really bad! Or, because most of the guys I meet are on the basketball court and, even though they initially show great interest, once I end up kicking their behinds, that interest seems to run out of their minds like the salty sweat from their well whipped bodies. *LOL* What? So sue me, I'm a perfectionist, so I'm good at everything I do. *smile* Anyway... I'm finally ready to date and... maybe not come home. Well, not 'til after I've had breakfast and possibly lunch. Okay, seriously. Well, I was serious. But... now that I am ready to date, I'm not sure who to date. I feel like I'm too old to jump into something so dang new like interracial dating, so... I tend to steer clear of that. Then... the knuckleheaded Black men I've met on this site email and show great interest, then nothing. What's a lady to do? Well, I could stop being a lady. That's a sure way to get more dates than I can handle. *L* But... that's not me. So... I guess patience is the key. Either that or getting over my apprehension to venture into the newness of that other realm of interaction. Hmmmmmm... That just might be the ticket!

Do what you feel is best for you. Stay true to who you are BUT also be willing to try new things. There are things that 20 yrs ago did not seem "proper" but not it is not that big a deal. Not saying do not be a lady, just understand that being a lady has changed a little.
