You ladies wanna PLAY??!!

A game... Play a game!

I thought so... So here's the background. People say stuff that, on the face of it, has an obvious meaning. Underneath though, it has a whole different definition. It's called "Fuzzy Language", "Fuzzy Logic" or perhaps "Pretzel Logic". For example:

When someone says "Typical results are shown.", it means, "This is the prettiest graph."...

Get it? So who's up for a game? Oh, come on... don't make me chase you all over the blogs lol. I'll give you a phrase and you give me it's true meaning.

Here's mine...

"Can you hold while I confer with my manager?"
Means: "I can't talk to you while I'm belly laughing. Maybe if you're on hold long enough, you'll go away."

"I'll get right on that."
Means: "It's going in the 'ignore indefinitely' box."
Alternately see "I have my best people working on it" below...

"This phenomenon has been documented."
Means: "This was in the last issue of 'Throb' wasn't it?"

"This phenomenon has been well documented."
Means: "I read this in 'JUGS' just last week."

"This phenomenon will be debated at length."
Means: "There's a great thread on this in that 'stroke-my-monkey' forum."

"Oh, it's OK to have that opinion."
Means: "Your opinion sucks. Major. Never voice one again."

"I'll call you."
Means: "Yuh... hold your breath..."

"Lets schedule a meeting to discuss this further."
Means: "Lets not ever discuss this again."

"My schedule is filling up quick."
Means: "I really don't want to discuss this. Besides, I might get a tee time this afternoon."

"My schedule is full."
Means: "I really don't want to discuss this. Besides, I have a tee time this afternoon"

"I have my best people working on it."
Means: "That useless slug with the yellow bicycle helmet, knee & elbow pads will take the next 6 weeks to come up with your answer."

"Is the monitor plugged in?"
Means: "You are one booger eating moron of the first order. Does your mother know you're out in public?"

"Can you hold while I confer with my manager?"
Means: Hang on while I think of a better way to say no

"I'll get right on that."
Means: I'll put that in huge pile of things i have to do...if you call & bug me again, i'll put it on the bottom.

"This phenomenon has been documented."
Means: this crap has come up before.

"This phenomenon has been well documented."
Means: this crap has come up so often, someone wrote a long boring report about it.

"This phenomenon will be debated at length."
Means: next week when the long boring report comes out we're gonna have a special meeting to rehash the entire thing.

"Oh, it's OK to have that opinion."
Means: ...but dont think we're gonna actually let you take it.

"I'll call you."
Means: ...when hell freezes over.

"Lets schedule a meeting to discuss this further."
Means: ...and the devil goes ice skating.

"My schedule is filling up quick."
Means: I'm having my dog's toenails painted today & thats really more important than you are.

"My schedule is full."
Means: while I'm at it I think I'll have him groomed & have his hair tied up into a pretty red bow.

"I have my best people working on it."
Means: If you really need it today, I'm pretty sure the janitor is free.

"Is the monitor plugged in?"
Means: You are really just too stupid to be allowed out on your own walking around, let alone operating a computer.
