Only seven...OMG!..7 days!!

Only seven days left until my daughter Sarah's wedding. We are sort of at a lull now, with nothing really pressing to do. Yes, I am excited, and anxious and panicky all at the same time. Everyone is telling me to "relax" and I am trying but during my quiet times these thoughts just keep pressing in and the dreaded "what ifs" start to fill my mind.

What if it pours rain and Sarah's dream wedding has to take place inside instead of outdoors?

What if no one comes to the wedding? No friends, no family, just us there.

What if the groom's grandmother changes her mind, again, about making the grooms cake, and there is NO grooms cake!

What if there is a problem with the sound system and the music won't play and the instruments won't be heard?

What if my sister and stepfather who don't get along and haven't spoken in months, get into a cussing match either during the wedding or during the reception?

What if my sister, whom is going to sing, looses her voice?

What if the tuxedos do not fit or they fit but they are the wrong color?

What if the photographer has technical difficulties with his equipment?

What if the food served on the buffet table tastes terrible?

And then the personal "What ifs" descend:

What if I trip in my new high heels, fall flat on my face and embarrass my daughter and myself?

What if my hair won't behave and it looks like I just got out of bed?

What if the groom's family doesn't like me?

What if I cry and carry on and embarrass my daughter?

Grrrr. I have no nails left to bite as I have nibbled them all away. Enough all ready! Calgon....take me away..

WHAT IF

absolutely none of that matters and the day is perfect because they love each other and you love them and people are filled with the joy of seeing that?

You cannot conceive the many without the one.

lol BD...that's why when I was an A/V tech, I hated doing the sound for weddings. You screw something like that up and it is BIG trouble. Not like it is something you can go back and do over again.

Am sure it will go fine. Just make sure you don't invite the fire ants.
JVT..the Fire Ants are NOT allowed!

Can't REALLY help you with your joint problem, Buttery....but could (if I was on the same continent) help with your photographer concerns. Seriously though...regardless of how perfect you and your daughter may want things to be...realize that at some point...you have to sit back...accept...and just enjoy. Once again...wishing you the most perfect day that you could imagine!!

LOL at the offer of help with the joint problem. *shrugs no big deal..just one of a list of things I would like to do or experience before I die. Right up there with hang gliding and snorkeling.

On that day..I WILL be sitting back and accepting what ever happens. Cause there will not be a thing I can do about what happens.
