Selling yourself tall.

I can't imagine anyone will ever read this apart from me, but what the hell...
So, it's always suggested that men and women are so completely different, that men are the predators and women the catch. Bollocks! Every women I've ever met has had a far clearer idea of what they want and need from men than I've ever had from them.
I've got female friends, always have done. I do get admiring female glances, but it never goes any further. Do ALL women want cohabiting, marriage, and kids? Why have I NEVER met one that doesn't?
Apparently, it's all to do with "commitment" - anything other than the stereotypical pairing off arrangement is not "commitment". So what about lying and cheating, adultery and betrayal? Living together, being married and having kids is NO guarantee that these will never happen.
We're all looking for certainty and finality and security, but at what price to your individuality and soul?
I have a friend who's been left six months ago and all he still talks about is her, it's like he doesn't actually exist anymore.
I think women must mostly despair of men: their sometimes lack of emotional maturity and awareness and expression.
I'm told that I'm "a lovely man", but it seems that all that matters is how you come across, not how you actually are.
God, I'm a grumpy bugger!
