Stuck in the rutt...

Greetings all! (or at least the 2 or 3 that check out my blog..lol)

Man, I am in a serious rut both professionally and socially/personally. Work has become completely tedious. Paperwork drives me insane and it seems that the mountains grow just as fast as I clear them. Wouldn't be so bad if it was actually something that was intellectually stimulating, but filling in the blanks gets old quick. Socially....well the rut is about a year long now. Guess that has to do with life in a small town and such. It seems I really don't have a peer group to associate with. Being single at 38 in a small town in New Mexico is not alot of fun.....

That was the main reason I joined AdultFriendFinder, to develop friendships and relationships, but have not been successful at the either. Not sure if it is location/isolation or if I am just a terrible human...*laugh*

Ah...onto other things. I am currently reading two vastly different books. The first is Doyle Brunson's Super System 2. Doyle is most famous for Super System 1, a bible for any serious poker player. I have really taking a liking to Texas Holdem, especially No Limit games and tournaments. Play quite a bit in Ruidoso when it is open (anxiously awaiting the opening of the new Casino Apache/Inn of the Mountain Gods..though think they are nuts on their room rates..) and in Albuquerque when I get a chance. The second book I am reading is called Don't Think of an Elephant: Know Your Values and Frame the Debat by George Lakoff. Very interesting look into how Republican's have used framing in woo'ing over the American Electorate and how Democrats must adapt to this and use it for their own good. Explains Strong Parent/Nurturing Parent and how that defines the political parties. Read much on politics and this is a very eye-opening and yet easy read.

Well, think that is all for now. My fingers are numb from all the typing. Hope everyone is doing well..........

Till next Random Blurtation..

Mike
