Summer heat

My mind boggles at watching the past couple of weeks' wars. STOP! I scream as I see the kids' bodies blown apart being retrieved from rubble piles too harshly crumbled by bombs directed within Nazareth, the Israeli-Arab homes, bombed by Hezbollah.

I then turn with the newsnets' live reports to the rescue effort directed by various nations... only to hear whines and complaints by those hyphenated Lebanese that it's been "difficult" to find their way to the rescue points... to find their way onto those luxury cruise ships freely provided. Duh...

Guess I'm getting callous in my old age. Strike and counter-strike, lots of destruction of lives, no interest on ALL sides to lay down arms, not even a whisper of apology or guilt, just more bombings, regardless of Red crosses or crescents flying, mindless of the U.N. blue flags trying to deliver some semblance of water and food, absolutely nada but more destruction.

And you want me to care?

Meanwhile, nobody seems to notice that another tsunami has hit Indonesia...

I noticed the tsunami.... sigh.

I sometimes watch the "Razors Edge" with Bill Murray. My favorite of his films. I do not watch TV anymore.

I have a close friend who now lives in Holland, his homeland, but he grew up in Bogor, Indonesia, not far from the now devastated beaches where the recent tsunami hit. Ironically, he had just left there as he's been very active in reconstruction when he saw the tsunami hit.

I wonder at the gods.
