Been A Minute

It's Been a Minute since I have posted and I have been quite busy..In some ways and lazy in others....Isn't that life....Not at the DAC or on the radio airwaves anymore, but still at the Hayti and involved in the Entertainment game as a promoter and publicist and various other roles.......
But now we are coming up on September and one of my favorite events, the Bull Durham Blues Festival, will be celebrating musicians who were impacted by Hurricane Katrina last year as they bring that Gulf Coast Funk here to NC ..Should be a lot of dancing and grooving going on..I know I hope get my groove on..
Had a friend move here recently and that definitely helped me get my groove on for a minute.......but now it's been a minute since I heard from her since her family (kids) finally moved her as well but hopefully that will change and I can get my freak back on...but if not with her, I am game for trying some new person or one of my old flames that I am still cool with......Oh well this is just a short note but I will be back with more thoughts, more regularly..By the way did anyone catch that special the Last Days Of Earth which showed the various ways that society and the universe has to do us in..It was very humbling and let us know our place in the big picture..........Some of the things of Science Fiction like an asteroid wiping us out or a Volcano from below may not be far from what awaits us and apparently contrary to the Sci Fi world of Star Trek and Star Wars we want no parts of a Black Hole.........
Let me know what you think our greatest dangers are in life and what you would do if you knew you only had a limited time here on earth.....

After what New Orleans went through and as important as music and culture is to this city, it's the least we can do....Plus we here in Durham understand the importance of Blues, Culture, and etc as we have a long legacy ourselves...

And yes complacency is one of our greatest downfalls and something we all should fit against regularly...
