Music speaks to my soul!

Music can always change my mood! This can be good or bad depending. Some country turns me into a raving lunatic that makes me want to rage, Then country rock can have a song or two I really like and puts me in a good mood. Music is so.....relaxing if it is slow, soft and sweet! Or can put you in a romantic mood and loosen you up or it can make you feel very negative to the act. Music affects animals and even plants. It has saved lives in the hospital and killed people on the road. And if you feel the need to cry and have bottled it up for years it can take you right over the edge and you can weep for hours till your soul feels clean again. I think Music is a lot like writing in its creative expression. So guys and gals if trying to set the mood you better know what makes them turned on and off, happy or sad, goofy or serious. Playing the wrong thing may take you totally by surprise on the reactions you get. A good measuring stick for this one is body language. If they got up and left there should be no doubt about why! For me, music doesn't set my mood. I use music to help express my mood. If I'm feeling sad, I play sad music. If I'm feeling angry (which seems to be a lot lately) I turn on 94.1 JJO.

But actually, this is one of the reasons that I love having the Final Fantasy game soundtracks. It sounds weird, but never have there been video games that have delved into the expanses of all of the human emotions. Square is good at that. And Nobuo Uematsu is just the man when it comes to that IMHO.

And weirdly, I almost prefer music without lyrics (or lyrics in a language that I can understand), because for the music to be good, it's just got to express itself.

I have to agree with you Cuz. When I feel depressed, I play all these sad songs. Same as when I am happy, horny or in love.

I remember with my first husband we used to play music all the time when we had sex. He would try and keep rhythm with the beat of the songs he played. WOOHOOO was it good when he played Metallica. Just think of the riffs to some of those songs!!! YESSSSSSSsssss
