Like the Sirens Song

You call out into the night
Like a Siren of the sea

They flock around you
setting course for their destruction.

You tease them like a calm ocean
Pretending to be harmless
With your placid waters
U know exactly what u are doing
And so do I

The ships that wreck
amoung your whims.
You derive evil pleasure
But that is normal
For who u are
Its in your nature

All the while
still calling out
for the the one
that binds the Master.

Yes that is what u seek
But never expected the call to be answered
Or did u know only the Master's Master hears it?

Deep. Almost disturbing.

Can you resist the siren's call? It is one thing to recognise it for what it is, but if you can not resist, it will still swallow you up.

You should be safe, at least you still have your super powers

The Siren preys upon those with no grounding
But to the One firmly secured
by the strong mast of their will
Odysseus He can be
And enjoy the beauty
revel in the song
and weather the storm
Turning an omen
to beautiful talisman

Wonderful work of warning Barbie. I hope you forgive me for allowing my own inspiration from your words as prompted by my own recollected experience to flow forth.

The siren's call has been answered, or is it the siren who, surprised by being answered by what she seeks, finds out the emissary is not the one which heard the siren's call, but another with more power, even over her, (pause, reflection upone life's surprise, that what may be found in the siren's power, is lost in reflection upon the results, when revealed by one who answer's, and opens her heart, and mind beyond the destruction of the past). The ocean is immense, but the siren's small place among the rocks which crush, is alluring even unto destruction... until??? What is that answering, something which finally understands the impact of her call, and reaches into her, and finds something greater in her, than her need to crush ships upon the rocks.

Can the siren, now become a mermaid giving hope, and life to drowning victims, instead of luring the lulled sailors, and their ships to the waves, pounding them against the rocks... That is for the siren to know, for only she can determine if the song is one of love, and compassion, or does she stay on the rock? The song is lovely, but fatal. The mermaid's kiss can save a drowning man.

The unfortunate truth's lie differently in each siren. Can they leave their rock, and does this allow them to change their stripes, as the tiger? On do they live their lives, singing a song so beautiful it will lure sailors to their end? Perhaps, in each mermaid, is a touch of the siren, and in each siren, a desire to be the mermaid. Only the heart can overcome the siren, as nature will always pull it back to it's rock, and song...

Deep... Thought provoking, but ... In answer...

The siren sings a song of allure,

The nature of men to the siren is sure,

To the demise of sailors, captain, and knave,

These men though strong, determined, and brave,

Leave judgment, and course and stray,

To the beconing call of the siren's song,

They cannot resist, being drawn along,

The siren weeps, but still sings her song,

Until a voice, from the ship drawing near,

Awakens within her emotion, maybe fear,

Never has a voice recognized her from afar,

This time, drawing her to a distant sandbar,

Does she go, and leave this song for another,

Or, does she refuse this new, and confusing voice,

What is her path now, what is her choice?

{To have had the power of a siren, and give it up, forever, would be a great achievement, but it would take great devotion}
