DAY 1 :( THE SUFFERING


This is the 1st day of Atkin's. It is always the worst. No bread, no dairy, NO CHOCOLATE!

Anyway got up done my weigh in. Passed out almost at my weight. 150 lbs my question is where is it at?

Exercised for 1 hr, taking the dog for a walk this evening, doing everyday normal things for me.

Working at the computer.
Doing Paperwork.
Answering my phone.

Everyday things for me. Today its worst because I'm going thru the intial withdrawls of carbs.
I'm committed though. I am going to drop 15 lbs by Oct 13 one way or another.

When you take a bite of chocolate think of me and take the 2nd since I can't have it during the induction phase...

I can't stress how sad I feel that such a lovely woman feels the need to lose weight. The Atkins diet is an absolutely abhorent diet plan. It increases bad cholesterol, increases the amount of testosterone in your feminine body and red meats take approximately 3 days of fermentation to digest. This leads to heartburn, esopheogal erosion, and a plethora of other intestinal disorders according to nutritionist. I only tell you this because every doctor my sick wife has been to has advised AGAINST the diet. Please reconsider. Besides skinny is not sexy. The body mass index for women should around 18-22 %. Just Balance your intake of carbs and the crappy fats... Normal exercise and a balanced diet are the way to go. I know this because I am the same size 32 waste now at 30 that I was at 17... How good is the Atkins' diet? I've heard alot about it.

I do a modified version of Atkin's. I do not eat a lot of red meat. I choose to eat white meats and seafood. I dont eat any bread or potatoes during the 1st 2 weeks. I stay away from all fried foods. My only thing I do that is not done on Atkins is eat fresh fruit. My main problem was after going thru all of the work to lose it I get lax about continuing and it comes back on.

I have a very stressful life and everyone comes before me. When I was 21 I weighed 100 lbs now I'm 32 at 150. My goal is to get down to 115 - 120. I just need to restructure my mind set to get it off and keep it off.

When I done Atkin's the last time I dropped it reasonably fast not to fast. My blood pressure dropped also. I guess I will eventually figure out what works for me.

i just came to post modified atkins. My former roommmates used the atkins diet... did very well with it, until one came down with gout. caused directly from the diet. the other one... didn't have gout, but she had other problems... that as soon as she stopped the atkins went away.
