Bailed out again!

I had a date to go sailing with a Man I met.He seemed pretty nice, and he helped me with my car. Then I went to a BBQ at a friends house and he was there too.
I ended up leaving because of all the guys who were drunk at 10am.
Well,he showed up to pick me up to go sailing. His friends showed up with him! They were already drinking and he had beer breath too.His buddy got out of the front seat and a beer can fell out the door.I was having second thoughs about going out on the boat with three guys I barely know.I was to be the only woman there. That's when my GF called!
Thank God for the cell phone!Thank God for good timing!
I told Him I had an emergency at work and they needed me to come in right away.I said I was sorry and for everybody to have fun out on the boat. Then I gave him a hug(He already stunk) and went back up to my condo.
It seems like he's always with his buddies and can't go anywhere without them. And he always has a beer in his hand! Well,I don't like drunks.I'm also not sure if it's safe to be on the water with a drunk at the Helm.
I called my GF back and we went to Denny's for lunch.
I've decided to take some more time off from men for a while. They can be really hard to read sometimes.

No offence but the guy sounds like a loser.

First date and hes with his friends...drunk...no thanks. Maybe I'm old fashioned. Maybe he is still in party mode. Maybe his whole life is party mode. Alcoholics have problems they need to deal with in their lives. You wanna help him deal with that?

There are 6 billion people on this planet. Was the drunk mechanic sailor dude your match? Was he someone you want to spend a lot of your time with.

If for some reason you kinda like the guy still be straight with him about what you didn't like. You were honest about the "H"...why not the date? If he is still the same after you chat with him about it give him a kiss/hug and say "au revoir Monsieur"...

That's a huge bummer, Sky. I know you were looking forward to your date, and I'm sorry it turned out that way. On the flip side, at least you had the sense to ixnay the ateday in the bud before something bad happened. I'm just sorry that there are guys in the world that would treat a smart, beautiful girl like you that way. Good luck with your search! I hope you find someone who will treat to you right!
