WANTED: One Good-Hearted Woman...

Don't mind me... I'm just feeling a little depressed since I got back from my little jaunt south. Actually, I started feeling depressed even before I left there. Things in real life aren't always what they seem to be here. I should've learned from the disappointment in the west a couple of weeks ago, but, I guess I'm just an old softy (in more ways than one, after these two trips, that's for sure!) Really thought that this was The One... but I reckon she (they) thought differently. (And to think I upgraded to Silver just so I could send her emails!) Oh well... who was it who said "There's a sucker born every minute!" I know that it really wasn't P.T. Barnum (he stole it from someone), but whoever it was, I guess he must have been thinking of me the minute I was born.

Anyway, I'm just going to go back to what I've been doing... writing my stories, getting the True Confessions series ready for submission to a few interested publishers, and for the most part, NOT looking for that Buried Treasure...

DD - yup... there's always a silver lining somewhere, and it was nice to get away for awhile, but I think the next time I go interstate traveling, it'll be when the weather's much nicer!

Saint - ayuh. That would be nice (sigh)

Daphne - cute! (you rang) - Happy Holidays to you too!

Thanks Silky - sadder but wiser!

Saddle - not to worry... writing is what I do. To stop would be like asking a baker to not make any more cakes!

Kat - how'd you know I do most of my shopping at Dollar General!

Which brings me to another of my poignant ponderings: In both these cases, I wasn't the one who initiated the contact. I was certainly flattered that women find me attractive enough to want to spend time with me, so I guess I just got carried away with the emotion. Like my profile says: I'm not really searching, but if someone finds me, well, that's a nice surprise. That way I can never (or should never) be disappointed. If what I'm not looking for is never found, then how could I be?
