The things you debate late into the night over a glass of wine can range from the mundane to the bizarre. One subject that crops up quite frequently is equality.

In this day and age are the sexes really on an equal footing? are acts that once were considered chivalrous now chauvinistic?

Who has it better in the modern world.

If the magic gender fairy came to you whilst you were sleeping tonight and offered you the chance to change sex would you take it?

Would your life be better if you did?

I don't think the sexes will ever really be equal. Same pay for same work, maybe, but it hasn't made it there yet. I'm very happy where I am and with who I am. I also say thank you when someone opens a door for me and will also hold a door open for a man if he's behind me. I think it's all about the golden rule, not matter hwat sex you are.

Have tongue, will use it. Repeatedly.

I'm happy being the girlieman that I am I scored 80% woman on the gender test (honest I'm not gay).

I open doors for women, but Ihate it when the guy that's with her walks through first, what assholes. I tell them so sometimes too.

I think there are a lot of ways to guage equality, equal pay is one. However, I prefer to guage equality on the strength of a woman's personality, her level of integrity, and her opinion of herself. If she wants to be equal she is, we will meet half way. On the other hand, if she is submissive or acts subserviant even treating her as an equal will not make her one.

Equality is an attitude that comes from inside.

No, I would not take it; altho I am undoubtedly made to feel my oppression in the macho revolutionary political context I work in, it is nevertheless one of the things that gives me my unique perspective ... besides why would I do something that makes it even harder to get laid ...?

I think I'd take the offer for one week.... Just to see what it's like to be a man in this world... But only for one week. I'm quite happy with myself, thank you very much...

What would you do AS?

Scientifically, we are not equal - we do not use the same parts of our brain, men are more suitable for some fields and women are more suitable for others. Who knows, though, maybe we use different parts of our brains because we were over the eras doing different tasks, maybe now that women and men are both competing in the same fields with each other, we will evolve into equals.

I love being a woman though - I've experienced birth (okay - that's a load of crap - I took the epidural everytime), but I did experience another life inside of me for 9 months not once, but three times, and I wouldn't trade it for the world. Yes, you men will probably be able to be hosts one day - I think they said it was possible when I was in high school - pretty soon, the only difference between us will be that men can piss on the ceiling if they wanted to.

Now, if I had a chance to be a man for a day or two, that's a different story.

No I do not think that the sexes are equal. Each has their own unique qualities and abilities and physical differences. But that doesn't translate into one being superior over the other, or intitled to more pay and more rights than the other.
As for dominant or submissive-those roles are taught in childhood.
I strongly diagree with B0SSIERBOY with his statement as follows:
"However, I prefer to guage equality on the strength of a woman's personality, her level of integrity, and her opinion of herself. If she wants to be equal she is, we will meet half way. On the other hand, if she is submissive or acts subserviant even treating her as an equal will not make her one."
As a cop out, with making the woman responsible for a lower status. In otherwords, she can be equal only if she can act "butch" enough.
Especially since women are socially molded to be submissive and subserviant. By having and displaying those traits "treating her as an equal will not make her one." What a bunch of B.S.

Man, I'd love to be able to jack off.... point my rod at a juicy pussy... slide it in like a key in a lock.... pound... grind... OH MY GAWD! It's a fantasy of mine. I would love to fuck a woman and know the feeling of power a man must have. In his dominating way, he GIVES to her. I often imagine in intimate moments that what I'm feeling is the opposite. Now, if you can follow that, you are by far an extremely imaginative person. Yes, I'd love to be a man... but not forever.
