Equality?

A while ago at work we had a very expensive poster campaign featuring a picture of a member of staff doing her thing.

She gave her permission, 70,000 posters were printed, distributed and displayed around the country.

And then her boyfriend, the cunt, said he didn't want her picture used, so we had to recall them all and have fresh posters redesigned, printed, distributed and displayed in a couple of days, at enormous expense.

Because her boyfriend said so.

People have died for her right to be treated as a responsible individual.

part of me calmly speaks...You have GOT to be kidding!
and in my heart, I know that you are NOT kidding.

I wonder if mr. boyfriend feels like a big man now?
Then again......................
Maybe it wasn't about him at all...maybe she just used him
as an excuse to recall her photo on the posters after the fact.

Either way, I would never trust her in the office again. Her pattern
of follow through speaks *don't want to be on the front line
with this one for any reason* to me...with/or without the BF
or her choice of another BF.

If it really WAS HIM who was responsible for having the posters
pulled, she will most likly take back who she is in time and he
will be history. In the meantime, this is a lesson to
everyone and a reminder that everyone DOES have something
to say about what shows up in their life and whether or not
they have the guts to say it is yet another story.

And you are correct that people HAVE died for her right
to make her own choices without fear.

Just a little food for thought.............
If you really want to be happy, nobody can stop you...

What gives him the right to say? And if she lets him control her like this now, it's gonna get worse if they get married. She's a fool.

Oh dear, I think I now remember where I heard this. I can only hope the girl is really young and will in time develop a better sense of self.

I would have sent all 70,000 posters to her boyfriend with a bill. Now he can wall paper his house-Man how kinky is that 70,000 posters all of one person up. Hey, what is the price to have 70,000 posters printed?
