More subterfuge than ever from the obviously incredibly lowly 3rd Book of ©POT-SHOTS®… Chapter X: [blog somethingelse40 Forever and a Delay… For some reason, it seems, I always seem to spend most of my time thinking about getting laid. And so, apparently, do many of my readers. How long have you been like this? is a question I am very often asked. The only really honest answers it seems are a few minutes, since puberty, and/or nearly all my life. Incidentally my first paid and/or/therefore actually published piece of serious literary prose appeared in the children’s section of the Washington, D.C., Sunday Star on January 27, 1946, when I was twelve years old. It was a 246-word story about a knight named Gezuntite (my spelling for Gesundheit) who hears a series of screams one day, while out riding his ass, Radish. (This, I remember, was my father’s contribution, when I asked him, What would be a funny name for an ass?) He decides that the screams are a coded message, which he spends most of the story trying to decode. By the time he has found out that the message means HELP! his rival has rescued and carried off the maiden. For this epic I was paid one dollar before taxes. Possibly it was from that time that I began to entertain the fantasy of someday being able to earn my living as a writer, as a stud, and/or/therefore/perhaps as a potshotist who rescues and carries off wealthy maidens. But that dream did not come true until some 21 years later, when I started to publish and distribute my own subterfuge a recourse which I recommend without question to all frustrated geniuses. Since then, time has enabled me to refine my style and shorten my stories somewhat, although you will have observed that they are still very much involved with Gezuntite’s old problem of communication. But this great literary experiment is no doubt still in its infancy. Give or take a few more decades (perhaps with occasional ten-year breaks for rest and reflection with various and sundry rescued and/or carried off maidens), there is no telling to what lengths (and/or brevities) you and I could take it, huh? credits … Snatched predominately and/or principally from Chapter Ten (a ten) of APPRECITE ME NOW AND AVOID THE RUSH, p. 125, a serious influx of more or less Brilliant and/or less Brilliant thoughts by the consummate POT-SHOTIST, Dr. Ashleigh Brilliant, (Ph.D. Berkley). Incidentally, Ph.D. is not a very serious venereal disease. I checked it out already! Hopefully someday we’ll be able to cite nearly all of these fucking ©POT-SHOTS® merely by calling out the numbers. Until that glorious day it seems my fingers will just have to remain a little more intimately involved. WARNING: No one has in any way been verdantly, inadvertently, or advertently omitted here. In fact, unreasonable attempts will be made to accommodate all suspects in the same manner. Hence all examples have been chosen purely on the basis of random chaos.
