I made my mind up after the Convention in Denver. Truthfully I got to be so disgusted with politics that I was going to sit this election out. Foolish thoughts. I am perplexed that at this point that is so many undecided people. Maybe that speaks to the last eight years. More so the last four. Could be that so many are frustrated with what has taken place. They just don't have the energy to give a dam.

SoyK,

I was voting for Obama from the start, but when McCain chose Palin, I think it ended the race......

McCain will lose by about 7-10%....

I said this months ago, but for a different reason.

The choice of Palin just cemented his defeat.

Per your question, people are stupid, that is why they are undecided.

Americans aren't exactly known for critical thinking skills.

How do you explain George Bush and this two disastrous terms as President?

It is the fault of the candidates.

McCain an old man who doesn't appeal that much to his own base.
Obama who should be all rights be leading by 20 or more points because of the unpopularity of Bush, a bad economy, the war, and more money than McCain. He is just a bad candidate.

I had my mind made up after the Primaries! Listened to the news clips and stuff on the hearings...can you believe that! Then tonight they mentioned the 450,000 miss use of money that at this time should have not been spent! It's like taking a vaction to Hawaii when there is a sheriff sale notice on your front door...WTF!

K,

I decided many, many months ago.

As for those people who are still undecided - well, they are afraid.

Some of them voted for Bush more than once...clearly, those people are afraid of their own decision-making skills!

C'mon, Kofla, you know why this election is still in doubt. The Dems would have had a slam dunk if they'd nominated a white man who was half as smart and capable.

BTW, Henry Paulson was worth an estimated $500 million when he took office, all made on Wall Street. Any guesses as to why he thinks the bailout is so important?

Do you really think a lot of Americans like to be told what to do? I had a conversation with one of the doctors at the clinic, he said if this was happening in Europe, people will be on the streets protesting.

Well, while it is possible is probably hard for some poeple to talk in the open about it, there is plenty of information available for people to get their questions and doubts answered. I personally think the way the economy is going, it is inexcusable for people to stay uninformed.

Div, as I read earlier today, in today's politics, you cannot afford to select a vice president as unqualified as she is. God forbid McCain dies in office if elected, we need leadership, who wants a president who can be our next door neighbor? If he loses this election, he will always be remembered for choosing her.

There are quite a few people who are neither strong Republicans nor strong Democrats. They are Independents, or usually one party but not always. There are an awful lot of people crossing over from both sides in this election. McCain is a moderate Republican with a history of challenging his party, so many people like and trust him. They don't think he will be another Bush.

A lot of Republicans are disenchanted with their party for the reasons you list, and they see something in Obama that transcends party politics, in spite of his billing as the most liberal Democrat in the Senate. They like his smarts, his demeanor, and his youth. He's a natural leader, steady and well-informed.

I can see why people may be undecided, but for me there is not much choice. I gotta vote for Obama. I just don't think McCain gets it, on a lot of subjects.

Lay, I think the moment we knew who were the clear choices for their respective parties, people should've educated themselves on the issues. We are in the middle of an economic crisis, how can people still not know who they want them to get us out of it?

Pretty simple on why I'm undecided.
I don't believe in a "Bush Doctrine" it's a made for t.v. term. Yes, George Bush had his problems but I've always found that it's funny the things that happened right were "in spite of him". Can somebody please explain why this election is about the "Bush Doctrine",when he'll be sitting in Crawford, Texas in the next 4 years. Shouldn't it be about where we are going in the next 4 years not what we have been up to in the last 8? Bottom line on the day Bush leaves office his approval rating will still be above Harry Truman's and Truman is regarded as a pretty good President. Bush approval rating hovers around 35%, when Truman left his was 25%

Also in that time we have had a Democratic lead congress. Everybody believes their Congressman is great it's the other gut's that suck. according to one website NBC/Wall Street Journal says last week their rating was an approval rating of 13% with a disapproval rating of 78%. Still nobody has answered this one for me.

Obama still has not come across as nothing more than a slogan maker. A great speech with visions of how great things are going to be. an empty suit...bottom line call me a cynic but I'm not buying.

McCain still hasn't come over the top. The "Maverick" hasn't lived up to billing nuff said.

Both candidates are Muppets.

This isn't like Christmas shopping. Do I have to get it over as quick as possible?

Well, I think you have less than 30 days to decide, I read today than Harry Truman approval rating was 22% in 1952. The worst in history. Neither candidate has clearly explained how to solve our country's problems. Mudslinging doesnt do it for me, I want to hear about solutions!
