teddy bears

Ok, i just don't get it, people my age and the fondness for teddy bears. I've just spent the weekend with my mate and his girlfriend (not in that sort of way), and during the duller moments of conversation the topic turned to teddy bears, and just how great the teddy bear factory in the Metrocentre in Gateshead is.

You ever have that moment when you just think 'fuuuucking hell', what sort of people wax lyrical about teddies?!??!! Well obviously my mate and his girlfriend, but then it turns out me mates brother had got an army soldier one for Christmas... apparently he thought it was 'great' and 'cool', his brother is 27. Y'know, you think you know someone then all this comes flooding out.

I should know better really, this couple talk to each other in baby voices (annoying) call each other 'pooh' and 'pooh bear' (annoying and bizarre) and generally act like feckin' 13 year olds (sorry if i've offended any 13 year olds out there... and if i have what you doing on this site and reading this??).

Wonder what an obsession for teddy bears mean pyschologically?

Apart from that the weekend was ok (apart from the cooing over baby clothes)

I think i'm just missing the point, as tokens of affection i suppose the odd one or two... but... meh... probably making a mountain out of a mole hill.
