Kinda makes me happy I've never ticked you off! Very nice grouping. What is your piece of choice? I've got a .380 it's got good stopping power and the kick is very manageable, I can consistently paint the bullseye.

I'm pleased you both have concealed carry permits since you're in "soft target" business environments. I had a friend who as an A.P. carried a derringer in her skirt pocket every day. No one messed with her. LOL Looks like you don't need to go to an optometrist for awhile. Love to both of you! Never ignore those who care for you you will have lost diamonds while you were collecting stones

I am just going to say Happy HNW to you ladies and I'll leave it at that!

I don't own a gun and have never shot one, I have a very bad temper and I am one of those people who should never own or have access to a gun, this is the reason why I don't own one, it would be fun to learn to shoot one, great shot

I suspect if I was an American I would probably carry too. Its an alien concept for me now in this country. Nice shooting I am glad you stuck it to the gun dude. Always nice to prove a smug arse wrong Hope you guys are well

Great shooting. I did some target shooting with .303 and .22 rifles when I was at school, but not since, and I doubt if I ever managed a grouping like that. An ex army guy was keen to teach me to shoot on a holiday a few years ago, but it hurt my ears and he scared me, so I stopped. Not likely to try again. I totally respect your view, and your right to protect yourself, and I know you are a good person, but I'm afraid I feel I have to say that I can't agree with you on the rest of this though. Guns, personal hand guns in particular, do not easily lend themselves as a force for good. Whether Oscar Pistorius was telling the truth or not we don't really know, although in the end he was found guilty. But if, by some small chance he really didn't know it was his girlfriend in the bathroom, then it was an appalling mistake, one which he could not have made if he did not own a gun. Personally, I wouldn't even want him to have the right to kill an intruder, but that is more difficult to debate. Defence is something which stops you being hurt, a gun might do that, but it is most often really used as counter offence, which I don't think is quite the same thing. I have heard, though I don't know if it is true, that weapons owned by good people are more often turned on themselves by bad people rather than actually offering any protection, although I guess if you know how to use one and are really prepared to shoot first then maybe that wouldn't apply to you. Anyway, none of that means I don't love you, just....well you know how it is.....it can be hard not to want to state a view on a difficult subject when a good friend raises one.

Naa'ce shootin' partner. I am a fair shot. I admire the engineering and historical impact of firearms but have no interest in owning one. Made that decision long ago (long story and not relevant at the moment). Point of clarification: you have a right to defend yourself (assuming certain conditions are met) and you have a right to own a firearm (assuming you are not otherwise disqualified). The two rights are legally distinct and independent even though they are discussed inclusively which often confuses and obscures implications of each right. “Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.” ― Oscar Wilde

Ah so E's mouth isn't the only thing that rEcoils upon the release of a load. Gotta love LezzEs with fire/horsepower. Nice grouping of rounds, well done StiggE!

Nice shootin'! Paradoxically, the .45 acp is easier to control than the 9mm, especially with something as heavy as a 1911. There's more total energy in the .45, but it burns slower, so you don't get the sharp " " of recoil that comes with the 9mm. That's why it's easier to control the muzzle rise on subsequent rounds.

What a result I haven't fired a gun (rifle practice) since I was in the army cadets, which seems like ions ago.

Nice shooting ! I am impressed ! I do not own any guns now as I gave mine away many years ago when it got too restrictive, in my opinion, to legally own guns for recreation purposes. I think target shooting is or was a great stress reliever. I respect the right for law abiding citizens to own firearms. Many years ago I would go to the range with a friend in the US. He had many guns including a 45. I started with both hands. lol He said we all like to try it with one hand. lol

Being Canadian, I know almost nothing about US gun laws, but hope you can clarify why anyone would want a CCP. What are the other options? If you wish to carry a gun in your vehicle, or on your person = what type of permit allows you to do this, and without a CCP, would the gun have to be in plain site? Is the advantage that you can now carry it, hidden away in your glove compartment, or in your purse? And what if you didn't have the permit? Can you still carry a gun around with you?
