I truly need to learn NOT to listen to the weathermen here in Rhode Island. I don't exactly know where they got their meteorology degrees but it was obviously from somewhere that teaches how to predict the INCORRECT weather.
It's just after 10 AM and the sun is shining and it is actually getting warm. Of course we made our afternoon plans based on the fact that it was supposed to rain today. I could have been doing things around the yard today but of course it WAS supposed to rain LMAO
I'll obviously take the sunshine and warm weather over the rain but I truly wish that they could predict the weather accurately for once. So much for their so-called Doppler 10000!! Heck it could be Doppler 1,000,000 and they still wouldn't get it right!
Hopefully the weathermen where you live are better than the ones they have here in Rhode Island. Happy weekend to everyone!! Enjoy it while it lasts.
It's New England in the Spring. If you don't like the weather, wait a minute. I kept my plans flexible and went blading on the bike trail. Just got back after a fabulous day.
RI_Goddess replies on 5/17/2008 9:14 pm: LMAO....hard to keep plans flexible when you promise that you will let the kids go rollerskating since it is supposed to rain. Try telling 3 ten year olds and a seven year old that they can't go rollerskating because the sun is shining...LMAO...doesn't work!!
*laugh* What other job could you get and be wrong 99.7% of the time and still manage to keep your job....
Its a beautiful warm, sunny day here in Central IL. I got up and went plant shopping and working in the yard. Its very relaxing and amazing to have all my outdoorsy stuff done.
RI_Goddess replies on 5/17/2008 9:16 pm: Amen Peoria!! My husband says that all the time...the weathermen are the only ones that can stay employed even when they are wrong the majority of the time....also, I'd like to say all the yard work is done but it isn't....here's hoping for some good weather tomorrow...AM
Lol, you're right. Hard to get kids that age to appreciate a beautiful day when they have an opportunity to see each other fall on their butts.
RI_Goddess replies on 5/18/2008 7:17 am: hehehe...actually both my girls skate very well now after starting off spending more time on their butts than on the skates...my 10 year old rarely falls and my 7 year old may fall once or twice in the three hours of skating that they do...not bad for only having been skating for a little over a year...
Hmmm.... I'll be in Providence this coming weekend. Should I even check the weather reports or should I plan for both sun and rain--and go from there???
RI_Goddess replies on 5/19/2008 8:02 am: LMAO...plan for every kind of weather possible...I on the other hand am leaving the area for the weekend so hopefully will get to experience some truly warm weather!!
