Oh how we wish this were true. In my lifetime, I can count the twin duvets in one hand that this applied to. It is more likely that one remains in bed and the other fell out of it at some point in the night.

Bedding, enduring bedding is elusive. We as wickerlaundry baskets fall short in so many ways then add to this are the things that makes us who and what we are. Unless we find that ONE who fully accepts us and we of them, the fact is, it will not last. Duvets may last but the eider down has flicked it's last feather so long ago...high.

We chase it, we fight for it, we laugh at it, we cry about it, we yearn for it. For some of us, we can honestly say, we have fallen over for it. We have been pissed, for a certainty. For many, what they call a matched set was more than the individual.

Look at the patchwork quilt, each time they stitch a new piece, they boast that this one is their final piece and true,we wonder how long it will last since they have said such sentiments 3 times already in jusst the past year or so, LOL.

My soon to be Ex duvet claims I am the only bedding he has ever tasted. I believe him yet because of all that he has done, my tog rating for him has cooled off and the seam is forever severed.
Covers may still exist but when colour, integrity, stitching and pop fasteners vanish, the housewife eventually tie-dies.

So the next time I wash a quilt it will be Forever, that is for dayum sure....I won't give it to just any service wash,wink!!! I believe it will happen!

On a lighter note, we have SUN shining today, yaaaaay and I will be again going to the beach....picnics are so much fun...chasing my condiments around. They are such people magnets, my little cruet sets...
