Blood Sweat and Tears...

Sorry we don't have much time to play, we are just on our way out to do more work on the American Red Cross Blood Drive.

We found out that the Blood Supply is critically Low... It is less than a 3 day supply. We used to be regular Blood Donors, but somehow we stopped.. Maybe it was we got too busy, maybe we forgot, maybe we got scared..Maybe we figured it wasn't worth the pain, maybe we just stopped caring..

Whatever that reason was, now we found out that we are needed the most. Our troops need our blood! Our neighbors need it too. Our relatives just had an car wreak, what are you going to DO ?? You just got shot by Channey, now your on the floor, opps, you forgot to give blood, there just isn't any more...

FlatLined, and now your at the "PEARLY GATES", when St. Peter asks you "WHY ARE YOU HERE?" as he tells you "You have to wait till your time was due, 20 years or more, it seems there wasn't enough blood, and now we are overbooked. If you would have given the Gift of Life, the lines would be down, Heaven Help Us! You would be safe and sound.. If only you found that few extra minutes, instead of buried in the ground.."

We woke up in the middle of the night, with such a fright, it was only a NightMare, we can still do what is right.. That's why we are working this Blood Drive, just so we can wake up another day.

Will you help? Call today, and say "I want to give THE GIFT OF LIFE!! Can I give it TODAY? "

We can stop this Nightmare from turning into reality, remember when SMOKIE THE BEAR would say, "ONLY YOU CAN PREVENT FOREST FIRES" well only you can be a hero, save someone's life, maybe it will be your own? Maybe it will be your child?

Let's bring our Blood Bank back to at least a 20 day supply, we can do it, if we ALL just TRY...
Thank You, and may God Bless and keep you!

Great post ladies! People do not realize how critical the need is for blood donors. And certainly, if it was their loved one, they would give. What they don't understand is that it could BE their loved accident in the middle of the night...even something as simple as a womans menstrual cycle when she is receiving chemo can require a blood transfusion. Thank you girls for giving the gift of your time....and the gift of life.
