Oh my goodness there are hundreds aren't there!? I would start off with "Mustn't grumble" and all those like it. Usually said after they have just subjected someone they hardly know to a long and detailed story about how their insides went septic after an operation or something.

Oh and "What goes around comes around" and "It's too cold to snow."

I don't think you should have started me on this.

Hi,

My personal hate is, when asked "How are you?"
people frequently answer "Not too bad", as if they are relieved because they would normally expect things to be really bad.

And what about "Don't even go there" grrrrrrrr

If anyone knows Gok Wan's address, we should organise a blogville mob to "go there" and throttle the cliches out of him.

What do you think of that idea, "Are you loving it"

Jim

Even thou we hate them, we still find ourselves muttering the ones we hate the most at least once a week.
We really need to kill them off at the source before they ever get a chance to breathe!
Nothing like a good debate in a week where it was the right temperature to snow.

Life isn't about how many breaths you take, but about the moments that take your breath away!

Well you could have always added your comments to the one posted by hotdreamer1000 & had a really cringe worthy reply to how you were feeling!
I must be a very lucky person to have missed out on ever watching Gok Wan's show.
I know who he is & the terribly named show he hosts!
Just never felt the need to ever want to watch him or it.
I already know that the only way I would look good naked is either, in a very dark room or after spending hundreds of thousands of pounds on plastic surgery.

Life isn't about how many breaths you take, but about the moments that take your breath away!

You are indeed a lucky person and I'm sure you're just being modest, not a bad characteristic.

Hi wantit - i think any sayings that demand you settle for mediocrity should be banned. Much rather crawl into the grave exhausted than live with regrets.

I really hate the idea of going to my grave full of regrets.
But every year I find myself another year older & nowhere near achieving any of my goals in life.

Luck doesn't come into it, just common sense.
No modesty involved, only the truth I'm afraid!

at least you've got goals - what are they?
