 Why is it that people think, because you really want something, that you would be prepared to settle for something else?
A friend sent me a text, from somewhere I have been many times.
I happened to mention that I really fancied a chinese from my favorite restaurant near where he was.
His reply was to go & have a bacon sandwich.
I told him that that was settling for a hand job when all you really want is a good fuck.
He kind of got my meaning, after a fit of the giggles!
But that's the point, we have either told or been told, by someone in our lives, to settle for 2nd best!
Why should we have to?
With a little effort on our behalf, we can have what we want & not have to settle for anything else.
I mean, if we wanted 2nd bests, we would not have mentioned what we really wanted in the 1st place.
Would we?
So my advice is not to tell anyone about what you want until you are in the right place, at the right time, to seize it there & then.
As you may not like or want what you end up with, otherwise!!!

 I suppose there comes a time when you have to admit that "you can't always get what you want" lol.

What annoys me most is when I go into a shop and they haven't got the thing I want but the shopkeeper says, "These are just as good." Does he think I asked for what I specifically wanted without knowing why????

 All very nice if you happen to reach the pinnacle of success.
I just seem to always end up eating a lot of bacon sandwiches along the way!
Would be nice to eat my Chinese for once. lol

 I suppose in this day & age, the poor salesperson is just trying to sell you anything just to stop them losing their job due to the shop closing down.
But it is still extremely frustrating, to be offered or told to have something else, just because they can't sell you what they advertised as having in stock!
Sale items are the best one's for that!

I'm working on the Chinese. I now have a taste for it!
Just involes me & a 2 hr drive to get it.
