Dont Rush!

7/3/2009 2:28 am
I'd like to touch on the latest news cycle for a minute. Wall Street confidence man Bernie Madoff got sentenced to 150 years. Imagine having to do a 150 years with an inmate population. Wow, he's going to be a harden criminal by the time he finishes doing that time. He, he, he...

No, no I’m not going to talk about Michael Jackson or Mark Sanford. Whew! If your anything like me the non-stop coverage about all of that is enough already! And Mark Sanford, would you please do us all a favor and stop quoting the bible? Hypocrite!!! I will mention Jackson and Sanford as they relate to Rush Windbag. On his radio show on Wednesday he brought up Michael Jackson and pointed out to his sheep that MJ made most of his money during the Reagan administration and died during the Obama administration.

What that has to do with anything is beyond me. He also mentioned on his show last week that Sanford’s infidelity was because of the turmoil and frustration posed by the Obama administration. You heard me right peeps, according to Rush Humbug, its Obama’s fault that Sanford cheated on his wife. I'm not shitin' you! This merely confirms what I’ve long known ‒ Rush is quite ill. The man is not well at all. Besides being ill he just makes shit up!

He got his bloomers in a wad the other day and started railing against the poor again. He claimed that the poor were fat because they get food stamps and use it to buy beer and candy. You can't buy beer and candy with food stamps! But if you ever speak with the Limbot's (as I have) they take every word that comes out of his mouth as gospel. As Alex Bennett pointed out; if he's so good at what he does, why does he have to lie? *sigh* Somebody get that man some medical attention before the black helicopters start following him.

Come check out Ginger's Blog. A little brain food!!

The correlations and connections the neocons make are just mind boggling. I see the same thing on the blogs for our local newspaper, it is not just Rush all those fuckers think like that.

Sadly I think you're right crump. His mindset has become prevalent within that party.

Let's see: I'm a conservative and I never listen to Rush. Ginger, crump, etc. are liberals and seem to be loyal listeners. Hmmmmm....

Do ya' think Rush might know that a big part of his audience are liberals, and that he might say things that are outrageous just to wind your collective stems?? Seems to work in keeping you coming back...

Now ya'll are telling me Rush is stupid, right? Crazy like a fox, boys and girls.

We've touch on this before Day and for what it's worth I give you props for not being a ditto-head. Don't think much of em myself. In fact as far as I'm concerned you are one of the sharper conservative minds on this site. I rate my friend Kaitlynn in there too, (although we don't agree in the least, I like her). Look, I listen to Rush so that you don't have to Day. LOL! I'll agree with you on the point that he's crazy like a fox! That having been said, what does that do for the health of the Republican Party? I would submit; not one thing!

In fact Rush is the guy that distributes the ammo for the GOP circular firing squad! Honestly, I don't personally know of another liberal that listens to him. My best girlfriend refuses to ride with me when I put him on the radio. LOL! No dear friend, I don't think that liberals worry about him in the least. As for me... I love to slow down and have a gander when there's a car wreck on the road. But for a train wreck, I come to a complete stop!

Of course most of the liberals listen to Rush and good conservative people like you are not listening to him. Yeah ...right he is just the secret weapon of the r-party to confuse the liberals...thanks daytimefun...for the insight, glad you mention that and we all see clear now!

Was there not a poll among the conservatives and Rush was the new voice of the r-party? SoyK... is right so long Rush is there and speaks for the r-party they run deeper into the ground...happy digging!

The iconic Reagan started his political career in earnest during Johnson's presidency, and died during the Bush 43 years - I guess in California, on the Governator's watch. Someone call in the conspiracy buffs...

Rush is wrong on a lot of things but on this one he actually is half right. I watch it every single day, people in front of me in the line at the convenience store buying the most putrid life destroying garbage you can imagine. It doesn't have to be candy or beer, almost all processed foods will shorten your life span and quality of life. The whole food industry needs to be better regulated as to the percentage of sugar that can be a part of food stuffs without conspicuous warning labels, and you shouldn't be able to buy these products with a food card.
Old Rush Limpweenie tries to convince us that everything the administration does is wildly bad for America, that is just evidence of his lack of objectivity. A person can't be wrong all the time, even Barack Obama, the law of averages dictate that he has to do something right on occasion. On all that other stuff, well it is just more evidence of his subjectivity.

Good points John. I think that high-fructose corn syrup is doing more damage to this country than we the people are aware of. Have you seen the animated movie Wall-E? Those people in that movie are exactly what we Americans are going to look like if we don't change our diets.

Rush is my hero. He could single handedly destroy the Republican Party. But hje'll have a lot of hel[. It's an inside job you know.

Tango is absolutely right. I can get douoble cheeseburgers at Micks's for a dollar apiece. Eases the hunger pains. Lousy food, but beats starvation. Just one more piece of proof that our nation is fast become one of "Haves" and "have nots". Rev Joe

I think all societies, all nations are entities of "haves and have nots". Democracies, monarchies, dictatorships... I have noticed that in poor countries, the poor are skinny, the rich are fat, and it seems to be reversed in the case of the USA. Except in my case, of course. I'm poor and skinny in the USA. A few years ago, for a few months, I actually needed and got food stamps. And I did look for cheap ways to have enough food. I also did not want to be fat. My allocation was around $150 per month. I do not recall the exact amount, but $150 is close. Of course, no tobacco or alcohol can be legally purchased under the program, and I did not seek to jeopardize my freedom by trying to circumvent the rules. Tobacco and alcohol were not the only exclusions. Toilet paper, paper towels, toothpaste, toothpicks, dental floss, laundry or dish washing soap, take a bath soap and shampoo too. Candy could be bought though. I bought halloween candy for the neighborhood kids, and some of those giant Hershey Kisses for Christmas gifts. I usually had unused spending power because I found out that you can buy a whole lot of rice and beans pretty inexpensively. And I got the more expensive and hopefully more nutritious varieties. And I bought no carbonated beverages. I prefer orange juice, and water.

I didn't have to worry about being evicted or foreclosed on though, or having my piece of crap car repossessed. We are a nation of haves, and have nots. I own my house and car. I have more than many, but in that black and white easy way of looking at things as either a "have" or "have not" I again suppose I am an exception. While I wish I were more comfortable with what I have, I am thankful for what I have instead of complaining that others have more.

Bernie is a good example of a "have". I think it will be interesting to see if he appeals his sentence. It's easy for me to imagine a lawyer looking at his sentence as an example of cruel and unusual punishment. Not hard to imagine another lawyer making a case for expanding capital punishment for non capital offenses. If he does die in prison, He'll still probably have an internment site worth more than my house. "Haves, and have nots...".....Beach

P.S. Would have been nice to not have run out of toilet paper. Triggerfish biting the dingleberries is something I bet Bernie never experienced though...wt

Triggerfish biting the dingle-berries, that's just way too much information beech. You mean you can buy candy with food stamps. So I was only half right huh. My bad! Hope you had a great 4th.

joker: there was a poll and the liberals voted him the voice of the Republican party. The conservatives don't really see it that way.

Ginger: what does Arianna and Markos do for the democrat party? they are more outlandish than Rush based on what I've heard. (course I don't actually listen to or follow any of them, so I'm not an expert on their rantings...)

Day, a Rasmussen poll taken in late February said that 11% of GOPers said that Rush Limbaugh was the leader of their party. Only 11%, but I would submit that that is 11% too many. Honestly though, I know some pretty smart conservatives here in town that agree that he is not their voice.

The problem for the right is that enough of them value what he says. And that is what will continue to damage the party brand. That's evident when you see what happens when a politician on the right dears to criticize him.

As for Arianna and Markos they expose the lies from the right. Whether you agree with them or not they're not liars. And unlike Rush they're not about bringing their side down while in pursuit of ratings, and of course the almighty dollar.

Markos is in it for the money; Arianna got hers by marrying a conservative and stealing it. As for exposing lies, I'd say both sides do that--Rush included. The problem with all of them, imho, is that there is so much extraneous crap from them that finding the real truth or the valid points is just too much work and beyond the capabilities of their core listeners. That goes for both sides, by the way. The left is worse, I think, in terms of taking marching orders from the 'leaders'. And Markos definitely brings his side down; haven't seen any sort of impartial analysis, but I'd be willing to wager that his negatives are higher than Rush's.

After I left the preceding post I was thinking yesterday afternoon about this thread. It occurred to me that you post on Rush for the same reason Rush does some of the things he does--you are throwing red meat to your reading base by bringing him up again. What's the point really, unless stirring political passion is an end in itself? Just musing....

Can’t agree with you on Markos dear friend. Arianna? She might say that she earned it. But then that all depends on the company you keep. “Stirring political passion” is a good thing... surely we can agree on that.
