What a Bum

So I was wandering past the full length mirror when something caught my eye. It was something that didn’t seem quite right. I backed up, stared for a moment, rubbed my eyes to clear them and gaped unbelievingly.

Now, I think I’m a pretty smart guy. I can usually figure a way out of just about anything. Or, how to repair and jury-rig broken bits to make them work again. I can usually come to some sort of conclusion when faced almost any sticky wicket.

If I’m so frigging smart, how come I can’t figure out why my God damned ass is getting bigger? Crikey!

I told you I was checking out my butt.

Which got me to thinking about things I’ve left behind that grab my attention from time to time. Specifically, women. Okay. One particular woman continues to come back. Interestingly, we seem to have grown older together, though she has no idea how I have felt about her all of these years. How could she? She is so very far away and I’m not nearly in her league.

But I'd love to play ball with her.

Once again, tonight while perusing the four hundred forty-three channels of mindless tripe on the boob tube, I happened to have her come back to me. My celluloid romance rekindled in a heartbeat in living colour and full of verve and passion (actually, it was a romantic comedy). My heart went out to her with every plot turn. I was transfixed by her cleverness and wit. Her smile spellbound me as it always has. I was transported to a time when I first glimpsed her eyes so many years ago.

You see, I have always had this thing for Jodie Foster.

I can’t explain it and I find her incredibly sexy. I know a good part of that lust is for her mind. She isn’t the atypical Hollywood starlet. She actually thinks. She is, in my opinion, one of the premier actors in Starville. I also believe that I could actually like her on a human level and relate with some depth person to person.

AND I think she’s hot. AND... AND I think she’s getting hotter with age.

Now, as long as I’m making admissions, I expect the same from each of you. Who is the one star that you believe you could spend “significant” time with? Not necessarily the sexiest by societal standards, but someone whom you believe is sexy because you could relate on all levels.

Back to my ass. I have got to do something about this. I have always believed that my butt was my best physical feature. I know this isn’t an inherent male trait, but vanity has reared its ugly head because I care what the ladies might think. I' checking out liposuction sites next.

What are the odds Jodie is in AFFville? I take referrals. Six degrees, right? Just sayin’.

I need a new body part to check out. Input?

Be well (and be nice),
DM

DM if I may just mention its ARSE, not ass, an ass is a donkey, well here in Aust anyway, LMAO. Now since you havent put a pic of your fine ARSE on your profile, how can we know if its considered big or not. From what I can see in the profile shot you have a very sexy six pack abdomen, and a hot, not so big ARSE, just my thoughts on this subject,LOL. Now to the question which star I could relate to and like to spend time with, mmm would have to say Mel Gibson, he is sexy and has become more so with age. He is, or seems to be a typical Aussie nice guy, with a wicked sense of humour.
So, when do we get to see your mighty fine ARSE DM.

Love and Hugs,

It ASS not arse, but then you lot are upside down anyway, Dark.

"Mighty fine arse"? I'm not sure I'm quite ready to have the thing graded like a side of beef. Besides, I need someone to take the photo. I'm not much of a contortionist.

Mel Gibson, eh? Good choice. You're right about the humour, certainly. Rugged bloke, which I'm sure is part of the allure.

I forgot about you and Jo doing the "grading of beefcake", Mermaid. I guess you both had a first hand look.

Billy Bob Thorton? Interesting. Humour sells. Or is there more to it than that?

Yep...got to agree with the others...need a "bum" shot to make an honest assessment. Of course live cam is always better!

There are some actors that totally do it for me physically. But mentally is tougher because we mostly only see the character side to these actors, not who they really are. But I will say I have heard enough about George Clooney to only pique my interest in him even more.

What does it for me even more tho...a certain voice. The guy can be a total dork and look like goofy, but with the right voice, my panties are dripping. How stupid is that!?

I think you need to be careful how you use the words "bum shot" around here, Two4.

Sorry, not live cam, Hon.

George Clooney! I like his acting and his quirky way of "being". He's one of the few actors I will go out of my way to see in film.

Hmm. Should I record my voice for posterity?

Sure, Bubba. You haven't been around for a bit and you have to come back on this post! *sigh*

And it's ASS!

Oh for the love of god...there is nothing wrong with your ARSE! Or any other part for that matter. Quit being such a woman! Next you'll be asking us "do I look fat in this?"

I've never been a big fan of Jodie. (Sorry) There are several actors I wouldn't mind spending time with, but I'm afraid the real version wouldn't match up with my perceptions. Still, who am I to turn down the likes of Joaquim Phoenix and Djimon Hounsou? And I've always secretly had a thing for Ben Stiller...

You want to stop the flame from burning. I just want to let it go...

Hey! Speaking of which, do these jeans make me look like I have a tummy, Wild?

Men thinking a little bit more like women might not be a bad thing. At least for a measure of understanding.

Don't be sorry. We all have different tastes. I'm not about to end the friendship just because you don't like my choice of hottie. Just don't say anything nasty or I'll be compelled to whip you with a wet noodle.

Interesting choices, Wild. Do we tend toward the quirky?

I don't know.... your butt looked pretty good at the m&g a month ago...

as for the star I'd like to meet, it would have to be Paul Newman... his eyes *sigh*, I've always had a thing for him...

Johnny Depp - hands down, one of my favorites.

And btw, my "arse" has gotten a bit bigger too...must be something in the air...

DMYogi replies on 9/7/2008 7:25 pm:
I've followed Johnny Depp's career since "21 Jump Street". In some way, I have always identified with his indifference to the status quo and his willingness to do roles that others would run screaming from. I identify with his quirkiness (as opposed to others).

He is also one of those that I would go out of my way to see a movie in which he is in.

As for the "ass", you mean it could be something like an allergic reaction to something, Neo? Hell, maybe there's a cure. I'd say we should compare, but I think that would be a bit forward (when di I become a nice guy?) Besides it would be like comparing apples and oranges.

Hmm. Maybe that was the wrong analogy. Rump roast and pears, perhaps.

I have been a fan of his since 21 Jump Street as well, and one of the things I most admire is his willingness to take roles that are not so main-stream.

If we're comparing...mine is the rump roast...Neo Baby Got Back!

DMYogi replies on 9/7/2008 8:08 pm:
That ain't no rump roast from where I'm sittin'!

Speaking of which, have you managed to get that tush off the sofa today? I see the boys won. They were playing the Browns, so how could they not?

As long as the Pack beats Minnie tomorrow night, I'll be a happy camper.

Living actors - Daniel Day Lewis (in anything, or perhaps, nothing) and Javier Bardem (ever since he did "Before Night Falls") - I guess I like intensity. Females - hands down - Cate Blanchette (what can't she do?) and Helen Mirren. I'd do them both.

DMYogi replies on 9/7/2008 8:12 pm:
Tell you what, CB, I'll get in there and help with Cate Blanchette. Yum. And you're right. I think she's the next truly great actress. I haven't seen her do anything where she couldn't pull off the role. Her portrayal of Katherine Hepburn was enthralling.

Daniel Day Lewis. Hmm. There's not much he can't do either. I thought he was brilliant in "Last of the Mahicans".

I think I would need to see a picture of your butt to make an adequate appraisal of it.

As for Jodie Foster, she is a beautiful woman, I have to agree with that.

DMYogi replies on 9/8/2008 8:46 pm:
Harrison Ford I understand. Kevin Costner? I guess I don't get it, Liz, but then I'm not supposed to.

Cool choices.

Be honest. You just want to do him!

Sean Connery? Yeah, he's seems like a likable fellow.
Gil Grissom is portrayed by William Petersen (yeah, I googled). He's got that cool quirky thing going for him.

Jack Nicholson would be pretty cool to meet. Even just to sit and chat over dinner. He's a pretty interesting cat.
