Middle Aged Quads

Male Half:

Today is Saturday. Yes, no work. It seems that we work a little more then we should, but it pays the bills and buys the toys.

Today is going to be a blast. My wife and I both own sport quads. Last night they were serviced and new rear skid plates put on. As I was working on the quads, I flashed back to the mid 70’s. I was 16 and had my first dirt bike. All my free time was spent riding and hanging out with friends. It was a time to remember.

It's 2006 and it turns out I am the same guy today as I was back in the mid 70’s. A few things have changed. I have a wife of 24 years. She rocks…. Learning to ride is a new challenge for her and I am not talking just putting down a trail. I have a lot less hair, but hey there is nothing I can do about that. Of course I have a little more money today then I did back in the mid 70’s.

If you are young and reading this...

Never change who you are because you have grown a few years older.

If you are middle aged and when you look in the mirror you see a change in who you are...

We all have to maintain that professional face,
but at the end of the day be yourself, no matter where it takes you.

If you have held true to who you are...

Fucking A!

Hi guys,

I can relate to just about everything you have written, except the hair. Given a family history of hair loss by the age of 40, I am not sure how I escaped that, even if I had experienced it I am not so sure I would be overly concerned...it is what it is! We have a quad as well, not a sport quad....Honda Rancher...I love that through the mud bogs, crossing waist high streams kinda stuff. I will say, we had a Yamaha warrior previous to the Rancher and it was a blast! We also have a horse farm, my wifes passion in life, so the Rancher sees alot of use for that reason. Give us a shout when you get a chance.
