New Year... New Kitchen

Well it is the new year. Time to think of new beginnings so we are going to redo the kitchen. Nothing too fancy or too expensive, just some new paint, some new fancy wood trim and maybe new lights and faucet.

We have wanted to dress up the cupboards since we moved in as they really are not the nicest looking and figured now is a good time.

If you have a little extra time and money, with a little know how, we recommend the do it yourself route. It is much cheaper and you get a gratifying sense of accomplishment when it is all done.

Happy new year to all once again and may all your new year endeavors turn out the way you wanted them to.

Ya we just finished painting most of your house this past summer, a lot of work but well worth it.

Well as it goes, so far not a problem. A few small snags along the way but I'd say nearly half the work is done. Still not there yet but looking forward to the finished product.

A lot of work but fun, exciting and rewarding to do it yourself.

Well as with most renovation ideas, things keep coming up.

First we were just going to dress up the cupboards and paint the room. Then the cupboard over the fridge fell apart when we tried to move it up a bit so we had to build a new one. A few days later we decided that the lights were too far from the look we wanted so we got new ones. Finally the range hood, it was old, ugly, and didn't work too well so now it is new, white, and works great.

As long as we don't need to change anything else we should be done the work soon.
