Come On - I Dare You!!!

Ever had one of those thoughts where you would seriously just love to choke the ever, living, breathing life out of someone?? You know the person - they do something that is totally out of left field and then they look at you like you are the crazy one. The kind of person who would tell you, to save their own ass, that is was pouring down rain even if the sun was blazing 100 degrees hotter than normal - just so they would feel justified.
There are just some things that I can not stand. No one is perfect and mistakes are made, okay I got that and I allow that. What I do not like, and will not tolerate, is being lied to or being caught up in the middle of some drama just because I happen to work there or walk by.
Lying - why do people do it? It is something in their brain that just happens or do they make the decision to lie before they even open their mouths. Better yet, do they even think about it or are they so twisted that they freakin' believe the bullshit before it comes out of their mouths???
I for one have a very hard time trusting someone who lies. There is a time for lying - such as a surprise party or something like that, but to outright, flat out, lie to me to make yourself look better - I cant stand it!!!
I am not the kind of person who sits quietly back and lets people run all over her. I stand up for myself and for my friends. I have even be known to let my mouth over load my brain sometimes and spout off things that I should of kept to myself. But to flat out lie - nope, see no need in it.
There are different people all over the place, every where you turn - but the people who really get to me and make be pissed are the people who lie. Makes me want to take hold of their freakin' neck and choke the holy living heck out of them.
So for all of those who think lying is an easy way out. Think of this - one day I am going to have my hand around your pitiful neck and I am going to squeeze your neck so flippin' hard - I will leave finger marks when I am done! And once and for all everyone will see your true colors.

Until later

Lying to save one's own ass: wrong. Lying to protect someone's feelings: depends on the situation. Lying to get what you want with no concern for the consequences: wrong. Lying to protect a relationship: sometiems bad, sometimes good.

So what do you think of those situations?

Life is way to short to say or do it. Besides I like looking in the mirror in the morning knowing what I am and that it. For in the end it is those that lose the most. hope you have a better afternoon D & S

Alas, I think it comes with the autonomous nature of the internet and that people can think they can be something else!!!

What they forget is that they tell so many stories to so many people that they are going to get caught out!!!

Keep true to yourself babes

Lying to save your own ass - wrong
Lying to spare someones feelings - wrong - and I don't care what the situation might be it is best to be honest
Lying with no thought to the consequences - wrong
Lying to protect a relationship - wrong - why lie then you have nothing to hide?

We have different opinions on these topics and I respect what you have said. I do have a question:

In the case of sparing feelings or protect a relationship (I should have added friendship as well), you think it's wrong to lie. You also feel that no thought to consequences is wrong as well.

The reason I added the feelings and relationship questions was those are situations when one has to think about the consequences if one has to make a decision about lying.

I cannot assume that you feel this way but can only guess that you feel it's ok to lie if someone thinks about the consequences. Is this correct? Please correct me if I misinterpreted your statment.

This may be digressing from the original post (seems it's more about people who lie about who they are on A.F.F), and I apologize for that. I agree that people should be honest about themselves on A.F.F.

When it comes to the real world, I honestly think there are times when it's best not to tell the truth. However, if you lie and are caught in a lie, then fess up. Take responsibility for it and readily accept the consequences. In other words, be a man and suck it up.

Thanks for stopping by....

This was your post I figure that more describes the mood I've been in lately. To add comment to your post here well, what gets my goat(ee) is the miscreants with hidden agendas. That's what I have been cranky about in my last few posts! These are people who are supposed to be "adults". All they do is stir things up for their own perverted satisfaction.

Thanks again for you comment. FYI: Hell I've moved on, wish some others will to!
