Diet and Excercise

When you are young, healthy, completely fit... have hair (my case prior to thirty-something), a six-pack for abs, an ass from which a quarter would bounce nicely, everything standing at attention, with boundless energy to stay out until 4AM and wake up with enthusiasm at 6AM looking forward to the next night out; not one small thought creeps into your mind about diet and exercise. At that age you burn more calories than you can drink, and life is the exercise.

Then, we get busy, get employed, get old, get married, get kids, get hungry, get tired, and get tied to the responsibility of everyday life that seems content to lead us through this tornado of existence until one day you decide to spice things up and realize you do not quite have the ability to attract the same level of interest from the opposite sex you once tossed about like the extra cash you seem to be missing also. (getting naked in front of strangers for the first time is a great motivator) Have you looked in the mirror during a tryst and wondered what happened? (and I lost my hair too!?!) What about the neopoli-tan from working outside but never getting out? (that's sexy) Have you had four kids without being the baby machine who seems to be back to super-model-ready-to-make-more in minutes? (with no stretch marks) There are only two words that will let you feel the freedom of responding to those who want you to be height and weight proportionate.......... diet and exercise.

We are doing it now! We may be little less proportionate than the next couple, but there is no bag on our head. And when we drop twenty, we might just ask you to be better looking.

Thoughts?

woohoo! joined a gym!!!

Age cannot wither her, nor custom stale
Her infinite variety. Other women cloy
The appetites they feed, but she makes hungry
Where most she satisfies. For vilest things
Become themselves in her, that the holy priests
Bless her when she is riggish. ~~ from Antony & Cleopatra

Hell, we got one on the first floor, and we still can't get to it before it closes.

During my recent two month illness, I packed on 20 pounds. That means I now weigh just under 200! I didn't leave my bed except to go to my couch for weeks! It's absolutely vital for me that I break a good, hard sweat at least 4 or 5 times a week. Now that I'm feeling better, I'll hit the gym again, plus Seattle is full of awesome hills to climb. This is a picture I took very recently ... not as bad as it could be for 200 lbs!

Still, I'm ready to get back in shape!

I'm trying that too. My wife's joining weight watchers, and we both walk the treadmill.

I lost 15 pounds since we started, but have been kind of stuck. I would like to lose 15-20 more.

Maybe we should start a diet and excercise support group? lmao

It's funny I just now saw this. Diet support group? You know after we talked, that will be hard to do. HAHAHA! Busty Betty Boop lives 49 miles away from me if you would like to include her. She is interested. J
