Ah, poor Microsoft, Vista is a copy of Mac's OSX, it only took 8 years for them to make it ... it was nothing like as energy efficient, *and* it didn't work properly! I miss living closer to the sea. Hi Angel.  I have XP an like it really well. My sons laptop that is about a year old came with Vista. It is always giving him problems. I have heard of others having a lot of trouble with it. What a shame after waiting all that time to be together again they are working him like a horse. I hope he gets a break pretty soon for you. I dont know anyone who likes vista, my employer refused to use it and they have the clout to tell Microsoft to stick it up their ass. Still we are stuck with it, no other system is really effective, if there was believe me with the job I have, I would have viable alternatives to windows out there. Please no claims that Mac or Linux is better, I agree but that doesn't make them effective, if they were, Windows would not be 99% of the market and my clients would be buying whatever that alternative was. Well... wiping the hard drive and installing xp (it is a bit of a warning sign isn´t it that Vista is only a year or two old and Microsoft is supposedly soon releasing it's replacement) is a good idea, as is cuffing Jam to the bed while you report him missing to the police  Or perhaps getting a boat, stocking it with supplies, make sure he falls asleep dead tired one night and then set sails... letting him wake up out at sea I hope you both get more time for each other soon The Swedish AngelWhat are we reading?...I'm going to lose it! I kept XP on my home PC; VISTA at work sucks--for starters the tools I use most often aren't as easily accessible as they are in XP: neither in the Menus nor in the status/formatting panels of the Office Suite. I have to go through an extra step just to Save As, Print and Select All--and these are the commands I use the most. I now have a MAC Book Pro which I bought a year ago--it's awesome in every way. I still use PCs occasionally though--I have all the Adobe stuff on both. I know what you mean about living by the sea. The Upper Texas Gulf Coast is not all that spectacular as compared to other coast lines, but I like it. The Swedish AngelWhat are we reading?...I'm going to lose it! Not much, except... See, I got this new already built PC by HP, and it came with a bunch of HP junk and of course VISTA... Piece of crap snot buggering program is what it is... I HATE IT!!!! It's been doing a bunch of weird stuff, but by far the worst is that when I have multiple tabs open sometimes when clicking on a tab to switch, it will close the fekkin' tab instead! I was looking for a pic to add to my post and clicked on the tab where everything was written... Poof gone, cause it closed!!!!!!
