I noticed the point collectors the other day & decided to delete them. Like you, if they have something to say, I won't delete them. My problem now is, since the blog main page is stuck on 12-29, my post Roast Loin Of Pork With Baked Apples & Cider Gravy is getting hammered by them on a daily basis. And yet, when I left just an emotion on a post for the magazine.. it was rejected lol.. and I had to actually type in words. I have one keeps putting a smile, then a frown.. etc.. at least 4 times. Ahhh... They are always gone in a few hours anyway. I have NOT yet been attacked on my blog from them, but I do get quite... ummmmm.. PISSED.... when I see them post on others. When they flood the gates with their blog postings... ahhh... those 20-23 year old females... I often love to sit back, watch and laugh at all the horny toads on this site respond to them... Some of this I understand and some of it I don't but I can tell you this behavior is all over the site and it isn't just one word it is from my perspective people who ad nothing to the discussion...it is content abuse....there is no content and I find that really annoying because I'm chasing points and I work hard at it "trying" to say things that have some value for readers. But some copy the exact same words of the person before them and it goes on and on like that. You say to yourself this is bullshit. The points get a lot of people to participate but they also inspire nonsense as well. But blogs on websites like this....nonsense is part of what you sign on to by joining in. What you may not realize is that the site cheats people on points so for some they are not really getting something for nothing they are getting nothing for nothing which I'm pissed off about because I actually take time to be thoughtful, I edit and spell check my entries...doesn't mean they are perfect but I do put forth an effort to make a decent presentation. when folk write 3 words or copy the exact word of the 3 people before them they should get a "shame on you" sticker placed on all their entries until the actually say something. You can post on my blog ANYTIME for points, because you actually have something to say, and that is totally cool with me... It's those one word ones, or not even that sometimes. I have gotten stuff like, zxcfdc.... What the hell is that? One can even just be nice and say Happy New Year, but.. cool , interesting, you are a good writer i like what you say, etc drives me up the wall! p.s. Before deleting, ban them then also ban the IP address. Makes it harder for them to come back!!! My thought is that if they never get any points maybe they will learn to leave REAL comment and THAT I have no problem with even if it's just for points... Good point...Let us all unite, for a better world.... (including decreasing man-made climate change....) But I dont think we should stigmatize people from Ghana nor Philippines on this issue, the same way we stigmatize groups in society as a whole or for that sake at advise line.... Thats my opinion though..... Most people on these lines (90%?) are from a sampler of countries in the "west", thus most nice people and most scammers are from there...... I already do that. I had this guy in Norway want to exchange kudos every month so we could build up kudos. I told him I didn't need the kudos, thanks anyway. So he sends me a network invite and gifts me with two bling. No thanks. I still don't need the kudos and I don't let people in my network that I don't know already.
