shallow hal

I'm curious about what you all thought of the movie shallow hal...my sister did not like it, she thought that it was exist...i on the other hand took it a completley different way...

I thought that it was very enlightening...the fact that Hal learned to look under the surface and see what people are really like...men and women alike...that just because someone is beautiful on the outside does not mean that they are beautiful inside as well...Well that and it was hilarious...

To look beyond the surface and see the true depth of someone's soul is a gift...

Whadya think?

realsexyguy1954 yes...well hal saw both men and women as they really are...didn't he...i think there are both men and women out there that are obsessed with how people look and don't much care what they are like on the inside...

AKA

trophy marriages

i liked it.. actually got a little choked up when Hal saw the burned kids as they really were. and they were so happy that someone treated them like normal people. who'd have thought shallow hal could be a touching movie?

in real life it is so difficult to get past the looks and see the real person. our society is so very looks-centric you have to work extremely hard to not let it affect you. some are better at it than others. some don't even try.

I did enjoy that movie...of course I like most of Jack Black's movies.
It's not the appearance that makes a person but the attitude that they show towards themselves and others.

Seeing the beauty inside someone is not necessarily a gift, I think someone can learn that as they mature and get some life experience, I enjoyed the movie as well.

for someone to let you inside to see the depth of their soul is a rare honor if it is truthful and genuine
