I sorta go through phases with what i read...I went through a couple of months where i wasn't particularly interested in Dean Koontz...

Then he came out with the first book in the Frankentstein series...Now i'm hooked again...I have read the first two and now i am dying for thew next and final one...but it doesn't come out for a year...

His frankenstein book is about Deucalion...thats what frankenstein's monster calls himself...200 years after his creation...

It takes place in New orleans...which is Where Victor Helios...AKA...victor frankentsein...has relocated to...

have any of you read it...

Whatya think of it?

who is your favourite author?

Read it. LOVE it. Puts a distinctly HUMAN slant on the Frankenstein story I think.

I've got a whole shelf dedicated to Koontz. And another of just Chrichton and yet another of Stephen King.

Hi yeah I thought it was a decent read. Pretty good update on the Frankenstein story. I've read a lot of his books and he's pretty much a take him or leave him writer, although Watchers is probably one of my favourite books.

I'm a big fan of Stephen King (is that cliched?) well his earlier stuff anyway and some of Richard Laymon (that guy is a serious pervert) not one of his books doesn't involve some sort of deviant who more often than not is the main character. Mr Laymon was spanked as a child i'm sure.

I don't think I can pick one favorite, but a few come to mind. In no particular order: Steven Brust, Neil Gaiman, Harry Harrison, David Gerrold, C.J. Cherryh, Isaac Asimov, and Larry Niven.

Haven't read it. I read mythology/fairy tales, historical fiction, sci-fi and mystery.
My favorite authors are Charles de Lint, Mercedes Lackey, Hillerman, and Thomas B Costain.

lackey has a three book series on an urban witch which is fascinating. (Children of the Night, Burning Water, Jinx High)

Hey all, another Sci-fi reader, haven't read the Frankenstein book in question, but favourite authors would be Robert Jordan, Terry Brooks, Tad Williams plus a couple of others! Also like the Lee Child mystery books - nice easy read that keeps you entralled!

I used to read lots of sci fi. My favorite SF authors are Philip k. Dick and Phil Jose Farmer as they are out there and have such interesting takes on possible universes. My classic favs are Mark Twain and Will Shakespeare.

I have it and read a lot of his all time favourite author is James Paterson.....never used to sit on the edge of my seat for an author to have a book come out until I read "A Diary for Suzanne". This is not a typical Paterson book....I cried they whole way through and it only took me 1 night to read....couldn't put it down!

That is not by far my favourite author...

I read way too much to have one author as my favourite...

he just seems to be the phase i am going through with my reading...

i could make a three page long list of all the wuthors that I like and still need more room...
