Procrastinating when there's too much to do

I hate when I have SO MANY things that need to be done that it's like I'm paralyzed, not knowing where to start. So, I just don't start anything at all.

I swear, in this last week or so I've had a gazillion thoughts, experiences, conversations that would make good blog fodder.

So, what do I choose to write about? Nothing, of course.

I've received a few emails kind of checking up on me and I haven't gotten around to answering those either. Well, for those that read my blog: Hi, I'm here! Not sick again. Just busy and procrastinating at the same time. And stressed out at work, too, but that's another story. (Great. Another story. Just what I need!)

I worry that if I write too many different blog posts in too short of a time that the earlier ones won't get read at all. I didn't even think that really mattered to me! Guess it does, though.

Any encouragement to write more or ideas on how to motivate myself and get unstuck are welcome.

Oh, and if anyone wants to come organize all the papers on my desk and the over 200 emails I've let pile up and figure out what needs to get done first... it would be very difficult for me to try and stop you.

You know, this really isn't going to help you, but I feel like spouting. I used to be like this. I had a job where I was simply overwhelmed from the moment I got to work in the morning until I left in the evening. I was absolutely no fun to be around outside of work because I was always thinking of what I had to get done the next day.

Of course, you're not even talking about work here so much, but the end result is the same: you have to pick your battles. Even though all the stuff probably has to get done, some of it has to wait or you'll go completely nuts. Again, this probably doesn't apply to your situation at all; I'm just rambling.

On a side note, may I just say you have some amazing looking nipples! The things I would do...

write your ideas on a sheet of paper or else you'll forget them, this way you can clear your mind for other things to sort/accomplish/experience/taste..and we will read all your blogs, not necessarily in one day though...

Start carrying around a micro cassette/digit recorder thingamabob with you making "Notes To Self" a lot at odd times, especially when lots of people can stare at you and think you're really "eccentric"

OR... hire a little Sherpa with an excellently LONG memory to follow you around everywhere you go and store your ideas in his head, or perhaps an oopa-loompa.

Come to think of it, aren't oompa-loompas and Sherpas pretty much the same thing?

Any encouragement to write more or ideas on how to motivate myself and get unstuck are welcome.

What was the last building you visited that really amazed you? Inspired you?

(If you need some ideas how to go about it, you COULD follow my example...hmmmm....

REAL Cinematic Adventures!! )

I WOULD, but I never do anything for a woman for free....ESPECIALLY her busy/slave work...HOWEVER, I accept payment for my services in either scrumptious baked goods or blowjobs...soooo....

How BAD do you need assistance then?

Hey Chi,

Happy to hear you are OK....Sorry to hear that you are swamped!!! Be careful sister getting stuck for to long makes for bad outcomes. I know, when I get stuck and stay stuck for to long it can take me to very dark places. My typical solution is to pick one small thing and just do it... Next thing I know I've done a bunch of stuff and I feel better. The other really important thing is to make certain you leave time for yourself. Make certain that every day you do something you enjoy just for yourself.

Aside from that, don't sweat the small stuff. If you don't post for a long time because your to busy then so be it. When this place / blog stops being fun / cathartic for you it's time to stop. If you go months without posting so be it. If you post a huge pile of stuff all at once so be it. Us, your loyal readers will read it all!!!

Take care

I know what it's like having too many things to blog about and not knowing where to start. You're right, it can be paralyzing and keep ya from posting. But I have to force myself to do it regardless. At least it will keep you from not posting. And I'll read whatever you put out there.

Oh, if I do all that work for ya, what services would you offer in return? I'm not free, ya know.

Passionate, pleasure-seekers, picture provocative positions, purposefully. Warm, wet, willing women, with good taste and a talent for telling titillating, torrid, true, tales can become confused. As clouds carry them and their creative instincts, intellect, and intuition to places of new arousing adventures, erotic excitement, and invigorating intercourse as they open themselves up to others, they will come to a conclusion that is sensually and sexually satisfying.

I liked your lists they help reveal the hidden sides of you that you seem satisfied to share slowly, like a folded flag being gently gracefully unfurled unhurriedly. Clearly I came upon the part were you shared your appreciation of alliteration. I find it fascinating as well and enjoy engaging in intelligent intercourse. LOL

If the words I've written here strike a similar kinky connection chord with you, let me know. If you would like a tale of taunting, teasing, tricking and treating, to take you on a thrilling tour of passionate pleasures and being "taken" treasures, I'd be happy to send you a short story or two or three or four or more.

The beauty of your blog is as attractive as your breasts.
I look forward to reading more when I have time to come check out the rest.

freud claimed that if you can't pick from your options that it's because you just don't like any of the choices. so screw the backlog of possible topics, drop them all. don't write because you feel obliged to log a post, write because you have something you want to say. till then take a break, live your life, and when your ready write something. everyone in here who, like me, thinks you have a fascinating mind and poersonality will add your blog to their watchlist and get an alert when you update it next so we'll all see you anyways. till then, have fun.

When you die, your in-basket will be full. Yes, I stole that from a book called "Don't Sweat the Small Stuff (and it's all small stuff), but that doesn't make it any less true. Life will continue to present you with an infinite number of possible tasks as long as it presents you with life. The key is to not become so fixated on the finishing of things that you become paralyzed by impossibility of finishing everything.

You have many dedicated fans. We will read your posts. More importantly, you seem to have a need to write, a need to tell those stories. Let them out. Don't block yourself up out of fear of creating too much. I am a big fan of using writing as a process for generating thought, not as a process for recording thoughts that you've already had. If you get caught up on the quality or content of what you write, you won't. Forget for a minute how it may be perceived. You have control over what ultimately gets posted, and you can always edit and delete things later. Write a bunch, then edit it. Write a bunch more, then edit it. Don't try to edit what you write before you write it. Trust your stream of consciousness to get you somewhere eventually, and trust your ability to edit that voice into something coherent.

Even if it starts as something like..."Gee, I've been sitting here for five minutes, and I don't know what to write. Nope, still don't know what to write. I'm completely brain dead. That reminds me of ...."

Put those pretty little fingers to keys and let them do something naughty...let those thoughts out.

Thank you for your blog. Reading your post has given me another opportunity to procrastinate and avoid doing the writing I should be doing.

Also why is it that only men come here to procrastinate. You can't be the only woman who avoid work she is supposed to be doing.
