Hystory or Mystory: how You can take over the world!

History or Mystery Part 01

Woman, Man, and the
Reality-Based Woman’s Organization

Disclaimer: Those who read closely will notice a lack bigotry in this essay. Those who react to buzzwords may find it "hateful!"

Summary

What is more important: knowing what a liar said happened once upon a time, or being able to learn what needs to happen now and how we can make it happen today?

Woman and man are different, but they are not simple opposites, they are complementary opposites: when female and male skills and qualities are blended in the right combination, only then may we achieve the best of all possible worlds.

This brief essay explains gender differences in a realistic manner and “cracks open” the Mystery of how to achieve a heretofore illusive, much predicted, and greatly longed-for state of “utopia.”

Part One: Woman, Man, and a Reality-Based Woman’s Organization

Males excel at “Doing.”
Women are more capable at “Knowing” what needs to be “Done.”

Males are larger and more physically powerful; males seem better able to organize themselves into successful groups and hierarchies; males seem better able to work together to accomplish goals and tasks.

When males lack female guidance and influence, males generally do the wrong things or they attempt to do the right things in the wrong way, or for the wrong reasons.

Most of the problems facing humanity can be traced to one simple, unfortunate fact: males are in charge of both doing and deciding what should be done.

Women tend to be smaller, gentler, more caring, more cautious, and subtler. Women usually pay more attention to the small important details that males usually ignore in their rush to act and “Do.”

Women are more adept at influencing males than males are at influencing females. The old saying that behind every successful man stands a woman is most often true. The problem is that it’s true only in an individual way.

In our current male-dominated society, individual women influence individual men. The largest problem facing women is that in a male-dominated, male-oriented world, women are too often reduced to competing amongst themselves to gain influence over the important and powerful males. This causes the “Powerful and Mysterious Female Skills and Gifts” to be used toward the achievement of male goals, with ends that can only be called “bogus.”

Solving this problem would be easy if women could come to agreement, support one another, and stop competing against each other.

But women mustn’t do that in a “male way.”

A reality-based woman’s organization would not made up of large groups and hierarchies of women attempting to work together and Do.

A reality-based Woman’s organization already exists, slowly weaving its tendrils through the soft underbelly of the current male-dominated milieu. “Soft belly”… yes, notice that however lean and tough the males who count may have been in their early years, once they accrue power they morph into their true personas: overweight, out of shape, and filled with (happily for us) self-limiting arrogance.

The reality-based Woman’s organization will overgrow their current systems as Candida albicans (Thrush) has probably overgrown their guts.

The real Woman’s Movement consists of individual women, all of whom Know and understand the same basic truths and facts. These women have also learned how to learn what they need to learn and Know in order to set and accomplish their own specific goals and achieve results suitable and relevant to their own current milieu of “time, place, and people “.

The reality-based Woman’s Movement is composed of women working alone or in small groups, influencing the males around them, causing those males to help bring about the goals that all women should be working for and that most of humankind desires. Many males support and protect these Wise women, who rein over various enterprises and workings, governing as representatives of the Feminine side of the Divine Principle (often called the “Goddess”. Males resign their power to her, but Woman is aware that the power originates on the male side and it is her responsibility and sometimes her burden to use it wisely and fairly.

So men willingly place their male Power into the hands of these Wise Women, “to be wielded in wisdom and justice; sweetness and kindness; humility, gentleness, generosity, and Grace.”

These women do not form a true hierarchy with a single chain of command like a male military or business organization. That form of management is open to being subverted or destroyed, or being used for evil goals and ends.

The hierarchy-based form of management is also too slow and clumsy to deal with quickly arising and fast developing conditions and events. If you don’t believe that, just examine the workings of, say, a public housing authority in a large urban county, working under the authority of HUD! Enough said!

The reality-based Woman’s organization is a huge, self-replicating, self-mending group of independent and autonomous “nodes.” Each node consists of a woman or a small local group of women. Direction occurs locally, as women act upon local conditions and facts; using truths that all women understand and deem to be true. This is the female form of acting locally, but thinking globally.

This organization may appear chaotic and disorganized. It may resemble crabgrass, growing through a well-manicured (sterile) suburban lawn. As more and more women organize in this way, they are having the same results upon male-dominated “nonsense reality” that crabgrass has upon a sterile, mono-cultured suburban lawn. Evil males (a few really do exist) will have just as little chance of waging a successful fight against the Reality-Based Woman’s Organization as a pot-bellied, befuddled; middle-aged male has in rooting out all that nasty crab grass from his beloved front lawn!

An even better analogy of the Reality-Based Woman’s Organization is bamboo, the most powerful and weedy grass of all. Given the right conditions, bamboo may demolish even a parking lot or roadway, working from below, cracking apart even the strongest concrete, breaking it up into manageable chunks, which are then separated from the mass and heaved onto their sides in 360 different directions.

The best analogy likens the Reality-Based Woman’s Organization to an “insidious” Polypore fungus, which sends thousands and thousands of miles of tiny, fiber-like mycelium through the roots and heartwood of an apparently thriving and powerful Tree.

Most of the Polypore fungus is not readily observable while it is having its severe, though well-hidden effect upon the forest giant. From time to time, a fruiting body, the fungus shelf, appears to grow on the trunk or roots. This remarkable, often beautiful “mushroom” is not the center, source, or headquarters of the fungus, much less the actual fungus itself. The fungus shelf is just the means by which the living fungus culture spreads its spores, so that other trees may be colonized and “converted.” The casual observer does not realize that this “mushroom shelf” is really part of a huge network of unseen filaments. One day, the “Biggest and Baddest Tree in the Forest” topples right over. It’s heart and roots have been turned into compost; it falls by its own weight, to disintegrate upon the forest floor! As the years pass, the composting remains of the tree become home to a thriving commonwealth of interesting and productive life forms. One familiar Polypore fungus is Ganoderma, which means, “shining flesh.” Ganoderma is sacred to a powerful and gracious “Shining One,” the Reishi Goddess, who is said to bestow health and eternal life.

No analogy is perfect, but, if you attempt to contemplate all three of the analogies above at the same time, you will understand.

Large associations may be useful for some things, but “at the end of the day” (sometimes quite literally), success depends upon women acting individually, influencing males to work towards achieving the goals and ends that all women know to be worthy, necessary, and just.

So, this is not really a “Woman’s Movement” because everybody benefits.

To be Continued in Part Two

Hello Goddess,

Thanks for the kind words!

I've heard of David Deida, but have not read his work. So... based upon your question and the 29 reader reviews at Amazon, I just bought a used copy of The Way of the Superior Man.

This is a thoughtful, insightful, and powerful exposition
of facts and ideas that we should all be aware of. The
proposed solution may not be the only possible but the basic
premise of female-male complementarity and the subliminal
power of the more cautious female over often brutish male
are principles that one should deeply understand. Of course,
the division between male and female attributes and activities
is not so precisely deliniated. However, a lot can be learnt
from a variety of matrilineal socieities - both human
and other primate.

Magnetic. Yes.

I wonder, Kissmystuff , if you have seen the "reuniting" dot com website, by Marnia Robinson.

Thank you for your insightful comments; I hope you will read the second and third parts, because though I'm satisfied that I have made some important and insightful observations, that is not enough. I would like your ideas as to what we can do to remedy things.

*kisses the back of your hand*

humboldthonni

Your response is heartening. Please do send readers, and please keep an eye open yourself, for the next part of this essay, and the material that comes afterwards. I will endeavor to post part two tomorrow evening.

Also please bear with me and don't be disappointed or even upset if some of my ideas are not to your liking. I'm open to suggestion.

However, I am working on a "Real Time Solution" (beginning,at least) in my home town. I'd planned it for about three years and finally went ahead and kicked it off this week.

Damn! The results are exceeding my expectations!

This (program mentioned abobve) may prove a wonderful laboratory to work out some solutions or protocols that will work, but input from real women such as yourself (and Kissmystuff?) and others will be needed, because.... I am a male, not a Mystress, of course LOL .

Hmmmm... I may need to cough up the money to buy a "real" membership in AdultFriendFinder so I can email people. Of course, as someone who used to sneak into concerts and rock festivals, I hates ta do that (crashed the gates to the Stones three times, donchaknow

Take care, and thanks again. I think I will post Part II this evening.
Hmmm... This may be too long for only two posts. Maybe it will take four. I hope you don't mind.

FYI Part Two of this essay has been posted here: Part 02 Hystory or Mystory how You may take over the world

More's coming, delisiousandgood

Well, FreeLove999, many do not fit "neatly," but fit they do and most folks, whether male or female would agree. Don't know where you've been LOL. Let's just say that while some do not fit the essentialist stereotype, a determining number do. At least in their own minds, which is where it counts.

Very interesting and insightful and forgive a shorter response than I might have given otherwise but I have much to do today. I think there are significant changes that are taking place but they are evolutionary rather than revolutionary and are less easily perceptible.

There has been a trend over the past two decades for girls to outperform boys in secondary education, certainly in the UK and that has now pervaded to tertiary education, with more women doctors graduating from med school than their male counterparts, for example.

It has struck me that the real hurdle in practical terms in recent years has been the very real fact that women give birth to children and men don't. If men were on an equal or even lesser footing than women at this stage in their careers and consequent societal power then the career break that women almost always take, their redirection of energy to a child with whom they've bonded alters the game totally. So men continue to progress in that aspect of society that will both reward and empower them, leading to a masculinisation of society and male hegemony.

It is no accident that of all the successful career women I work with most are single or divorced and mostly without children. There has been a price to pay that men simply do not have to face up to.

Because money is ultimately a statement of access to resource, and consequently power, the status of raising children becomes secondary to the acquisition of wealth and empowerment in real terms. It shouldn't be, and steps are made to address issues arising from this in civilised societies, but never enough. Being manager of a merchant bank and looking after the welfare of people's money will yield more reward and therefore more power than being the headteacher of a primary school, where the welfare and development of children is the prime objective. These are stark uncompromising realities.

There is also the whole dimension of gender stereotyping, which Free refers to. Gender is a spectrum and becoming increasingly recognised as such, and polarising is not always helpful. One of my female colleagues is significantly more masculine in almost every respect of interpersonal behaviour than a male colleague I have, who is largely feminised, and anyway for my own part I want to be seen as me first and a man second, even though I am am strongly aware of my own maleness and even the "alpha" dimensions of my role.

The big challenge is that we have ways that combine individualisation with socialisation, so that everyone can play a full and meaningful role in an environment that is predominantly made up of and determined by other people. It's a psychological niche we have that requires all the skills of adaptation that any other part of creation has to have. Such adaptation differs in different cultures but the ground rules for adapting remain the same. Gender forms just one dimension within such a niche and stereotyping, however well-meant, has its limitations.

I have worked as a consultant in gender and achievement projects.

Having said all this, it is important that the changes that we bring about in society arise out of well constructed intellectual argument and I recognise with great interest the depth with which you write.

Thanks for the comments, warm, "short" as they are

Time will tell whether or not we can bring about any changes whatsoever, but we certainly must plug away at it.

I will endeavor to post the next installment of this essay very soon.
