Stuff is Getting Better

Well, now, looks like I may be able to solve some of my problems, though the girlfriend thing remains a huge gaping wound...
I've solved my getting-up-at-5 problem real fast: basically, I have two digital a mechanical alarm clock. And one of the things about the mechanical is that when the alarm goes off, the little twist-key in the back turns while it's going. I also know that, biologically, it takes the human mind 15 minutes to fully wake up once it's gotten up. So I set my two digitals to be 10 and 5 minutes before the real time I wanted to wak up, with my mechanical being my set time. Then I secured my mechanical alarm to my table, and attatched to rope to the key. Above my bed I suspended a bucket, filled with ice water (with ice from the freezer that I put before going to bed), and attatched the rope to the bottom of the bucket. Finally, using string, tape, and some old wheels from a broken luggage case, I created a suspended pully system for the rope to guide it so that, when the key turns, the bottom of the bucket will raise. Yes, I do scare myself sometimes with this crap I pull...
Basically, my digitals go off, warning me to get up. All of them are away from the bed, so I have to get up to turn them off. Then the mechanical goes off and, if I'm still asleep, the ice water gets dumped on me, and I have to wake up. I tired it last night, and it worked fine.
As for the job: I realised that nearby, there is a Walmart for me to go and apply to. It just opened recently, and they always need workers for graveyard shift, so I could just apply there for hours after 9, and work there. From what I hear, they pay more then minimum wage, so I'd be making more anyway.
Spent 9 hours working on my homework for a class today before I realised that I was stupidly doing the stuff for NEXT class period. Which left me approximately 20 minutes to do the stuff I was supposed to. Without a calculator (statistics problems). Fortunately, he said that he would take it up next period, so my grade was saved for now.
And someone who I thought would hate me for life has recently forgiven me and is talking to me again. So that's definitely good, too.
Overall, my mood is pleased. It's a pleasant surprise when things work out for the better for me.
